I have those albums in stereo, purchased new in the early 1970s. Some insist that the mono mixes sound better on Beatles' early albums. I could be happy with both. As you guys probably know, most Beatles' fans in the 1960s didn't listen on fancy, high-end systems but on cheesy portable record players or on their parents' console sets, a hunk of wood housing inferior electronics.

this is taking things way beyond my needs or budget. I wonder about sustainability once things get so exotic. Is it like a race car , where parts are one off and quickly obsolete, or will it have factory support and be repairable ten years from now. Clearly, not my problem.

Seek the UK copies for how The Beatles intended it to be released. Not saying your albums are not worth having, but you will get a better understanding of the progression and intention from the UK versions and chronology.

At CAF we compared a RL WLP LZ2 vs. a UK A2/B2 first press in the VPI room on Saturday night. The entire room except one person preferred the UK. The RL is a bit more dynamic but the UK is much richer. The UK was mine; I played it in the Voice That Is room on Sunday, it was the best analog playback I've heard in my life. Now I'm trying to figure out how to afford a Helix 2.

Can you give us a idea of how the EOS compares to the Chord, in the same price range, of Approx $10K ? Some Audiophiles like the Chord DACs, and others find them a bit steely, or sterile if you will. They both have their external clock option, that elevates the sound significantly, but is for individuals with a few grand extra to play with.

I used to love Audioquest. Until I actually started testing cables side by side. But they have good build quality.

Show me one manufacturer that dictates operation to occur only within close proximity to the ground. How does this rack assist anyone with anything. Just imagine crawling on the floor trying to attach those cable management things. 7:08 LQQK, they actually have to put their shelf on a shelf to display it! Ridiculous. I guess I should throw away my degrees and all of my 25 years of experience as an EE and a physicist, and trust this guy who wants me to buy his 5k in snake oil equipment. If you design your power supplies and your amplifiers correctly, you won’t need any of this. It’s true what he says, things get noisy. But most of equipment can already handle this with decoupling in the optical domain isolating the gear, so your USB are physically separated and information gets converted to light and back to electrical domain to decouple the two boxes. I work designing special cameras which use an array of millimeter receivers to create a picture in RF spectrum where the sensitivity is in picovolts and nanoamps, one pixel costs us about a grand, but that is all due to a cost of ultra sensitive RF network chips, not a 5k supply to isolate grounds and create ultra low noise free ground. lol. Really? What a bunch of manure. What’s next, keep it at 15 billionth of a degree cold from absolute zero to eliminate the quantum noise of the universe and collapse the wave function? I got a five million dollar capacitor for sale, it’s organic, pasture raised, range free and non GMO.
