    “The greatest thing a father can do for his children, is to love their mother.”

  • @CrystalTrinidad

    No. The answer is no. You can’t be a good father while being a bad husband. Gods fathers don’t destabilize their household. Good fathers are not abusive and cheating 100% is abuse.

    3:10 - "I don't want to get into abuse..." Ma'am, cheating IS abuse. It is psychological, emotional, sexual, and physical abuse. Beyonce was literally having miscarriages because of Jay-Z's abuse. Can he be a good "Dad" to Blue Ivy? Not if she normalizes her mother being abused by her "good Dad" father and allows a man to abuse her when she grows up, as long as he's loving to their kids. You can't be a good Dad, and leave your children in the primary care of the woman you're abusing/abused. This is why so many grown men have Mommy Wounds...

  • @OceanisInfinite
    @OceanisInfinite День тому

    I think you guys fail to realize that cheating IS abuse to the wife. Even if the kids don’t know that the father IS cheating the wife WILL be affected & it WILL change her emotionally & psychologically from being able to rear her children as efficiently if she would if the relationship is solid. It disrupts the homeostasis of the home & family dynamics.

  • @elfishimp
    @elfishimp 5 днів тому

    You write on the psyche of your child with your own behavior. Children see how women SHOULD be treated when they watch how their mother is treated. Infidelity and disrespectful behavior towards the mother will effect how a girl child thinks she should be treated and how a boy child treats their partner. So in other words NO, you are not a good father if you cheat on your wife.

    She was wrong. She clearly said he was "doing his job". She was tripping to fire him. If there's a discrepancy in the report, that means the environment may not be safe. He's supposed to bring that up. I thought this really spoke to Robin's self sabotaging. She romanticized something that was strictly sexual and toxic, trying to build a whole world of expectations around it. But then she reaches a deeper place intellectually and emotionally with a man and because he is "doing his job" KEEPING FOLKS SAFE, and treating her like a person, she found the out too quick. AND she liked him. That's why she had an attitude at the club. I believe him walking in with the thin woman at the club was supposed to show that he wasn't out there stuck on Robin. Nor was he unable to pull another conventionally beautiful woman. Michael was not obsessed with Robin or desperate. This was a nod to that.

    I think it's a bit delusional to think that if Bird had been honest about asking Semuel to help Lem get a job that Lem would have been fine with it. No matter how she approached it, Lem's answer would have been no because it was her EX. Outside of it being a pride thing for him as a man, everybody who saw the movie as well as the characters involved, knows that Semuel still wanted Bird. Hell. That was clear from the wedding scene at the start of the movie. Even little Ahmad new it and he wasn't even an adult. Accepting Semuel's offer would have made BOTH Bird and Lem indebted to Semuel. Do you really think the Lem would have okay with whatever Semuel would asked for later down the road? I doubt it. All accepting Semuel's offer would do, was make Lem look weak in front of his wife because HER EX has to take care of them basically. You accept offers like that from friends, not from people you don't trust.

    • @thecurrygumbopodcast

    In my opinion Teri is a complex character. It makes the audience feel sorry for her and want her to win such as getting a chance of happiness in life due to her family betraying her as Maxine steal her boyfriend Kenny, Faith slept with her husband Miles, and they constantly kept relaying on her for money for financial issues. She was responsible and independent I give her credit for that and I feel like her family should have gave her more recognition and credibility so she can feel loved and appreciated by them but at the same time Teri was so arrogant, cocky, and narcissistic.

    • @thecurrygumbopodcast
      @thecurrygumbopodcast Рік тому

      Terri was probably the annoying sister; all the sisters had their own issues.

    • @dejaalston8672

      @@thecurrygumbopodcast When I was a child I always loathe Teri for her personality of how she treated Miles and everybody else like she's better than them. Certain scenes in the movie definitely and completely represents that. For example- In the hospital scene when Teri told Maxine " I won't let you disrespect my mama like she's already dead". When she first says it I was like " Ooooooooooh " 😱😰 as it was just absolutely and positivity blow out of proportion.

    I don't know who its was based on. It wasn't a comedy to me, its a tragedy For the wife, for some pastors it's their truth. That's why you attend church and read the Bible for yourself and ask God for understanding .all this earthly stuff is insignificant..I'd rather wait for my treasures in heaven .. if they don't line up with the Bible find a new church home!!!

    Great show today. *they can miss me with these one off episodes* Everyone is praising them as so deep. Man Glover and them just being "cheap". 10 episodes. Only 5 filmed 🎥 in Europe. "Let's just tell em the other five are dream sequences. But then we can stay in Georgia and shoot those to save money 💰" I like that AL was getting angry and keeping it real this episode. He is at his funniest when he is angry and G-checking somebody. But he also seems sad and lonely this season....and Brian Tyree is such a good actor that it makes me empathize with the dude.

    Growing up, we had positive rap (KRS ONE, Public Enemy) and positive tv (Cosby Show, A Different World). I got no less than 200 letters from white schools you guys probably never heard of (Univ. of Puget Sound) offering me 💵 to attend their schools. I turned down an academic scholarship at DILLARD UNIVERSITY (New Orleans) to go to Clark-Atlanta University instead. HBCU's didn't "offer money" back then. But one did for me. And Dillard and CAU were both on my application list because of *Hillman College* an HBCU that didn't exist. We have come a long way since positive shows like A Different World. There was a meeting that took place by higher ups. They felt that music and tv were giving them the opposite results they were looking for. Enter gangsta rap. Enter Roseanne, The Simpsons, and Married With Children. They changed the course of America by making music and tv that encouraged dysfunctional family optics and music that disrespected black 🖤 women to devalue ever get married. Thanks for reviewing this.
