IKEA HEMNES bathroom vanity Hack ~ on a budget
Переглядів 27221 день тому
IKEA Hemnes bathroom vanity ✨makeover✨ This project was super fun and only cost ~ $38 between paint, trim, and hardware. I will share the breakdown of this project if you guys are interested! I love IKEA because it’s so hackable. Purchasing a new vanity would have set me back at least $500-1000k for very simple models so this is a great way to add some character to your builder grade bathroom. ...
I cut the DEPTH of my IKEA PAX & created a built in closet!

    And if you do wait he doesn't do it 😒 I've also had a man come in while I was putting together some bookshelves.. he took over "for me" and ended up doing it wrong 3x and breaking a piece 😐😐😐

    Nice....when you cut the depth of the wardrobe , did you get new drawer Runners? Or did you get the drawers from the size below.

      Hi! I did originally try to cut the runner which worked but I found they didn’t work as well so I found new runners that were 18 inches long :)

    what she built isnt the issue its how this scenario is framed , with her (doing it herself ) vs him(not being there to do it) if the purpose was only to show us what she can do that's all that should be captioned in the video no need to mention him

    I do think you'll be interested in hemming the drapes almost an inche above floor length BUT IT LOOKS SOOOOO GUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDD! 😮❤💖💖 I have floor-length windows, and I LOVE the look of them. I don't have drapes, though. The windows themselves have tints for the UV and reflection, but in summer, I make use of the rods and use thin linen drapes. 🎉 Unfortunately, that means washing them bi-weekly because of DUST 😂 Can't wait for the update 🎉❤

    As a professional window covering installer and retailer for some decades, I would make them an inch or two shorter, a half inch or so from the floor it's what most go for. Not sure what you were doing with the takedowns.

    • @samanthamariehome
      @samanthamariehome 9 днів тому

      @@garagespiders I agree the curtains could be shorter. I’m going to hem them eventually so they kiss the floor. I like the look of them just touching the floor. Up to personal preference!

    • @garagespiders
      @garagespiders 9 днів тому

      @@samanthamariehome you will find them easier to maintain when they are not touching the floor. Half inch to1 inch above is recommended.

    I always do my wife’s project as soon as she lets me know about them, that frees her up to do other duties for our family! Been married for 58 years, and that’s how it’s done! Pull your weight in a partnership, or you are out of the equation! Always worked with my wife, and shared everything, including pensions, disability benefits, and inheritance. Would really love to continue our partnership a lot longer.
