Synchronising the Carburetors and Tuning the NT650V 2005
Synchronising the Carburetors and Tuning the NT650V 2005.
Balancing the carburetors on an NT650 Deauville motorbike involves a few steps:
1. **Preparation**: Ensure the engine is warmed up. You'll need a carburetor synchronization tool, typically a set of vacuum gauges, and basic tools like screwdrivers and wrenches.
2. **Access Carburetors**: Locate the carburetors on your bike. They are usually situated below the fuel tank and connected to the engine. You might need to remove some fairings or panels to access them.
3. **Vacuum Gauges**: Attach the vacuum gauges to the vacuum ports on each carburetor. These gauges will help you measure the vacuum pressure in each carburetor, which should be balanced.
4. **Adjustment Screws**: Find the carburetor synchronization adjustment screws. These are usually located on the carburetors and control the airflow. They might be covered by rubber caps.
5. **Start the Engine**: Start the bike and let it idle. Keep it running during the entire process.
6. **Adjustment**: Observe the vacuum gauges. The goal is to adjust the carburetors so that the vacuum readings on all cylinders are equal. Use the adjustment screws to balance the vacuum levels. Typically, you'd want to adjust the screws in small increments and keep checking the vacuum gauges.
7. **Idle Speed**: Ensure that the idle speed is within specifications. If necessary, adjust the idle speed screw according to your bike's manual.
8. **Repeat**: After making adjustments, recheck the vacuum readings and fine-tune as needed. This might require several iterations.
9. **Tighten**: Once you're satisfied with the vacuum balance, tighten the adjustment screws and make sure everything is secure.
10. **Reassemble**: Put back any fairings or panels you removed to access the carburetors.
Remember, carburetor balancing requires a certain level of mechanical skill and understanding of your motorbike's components. It's recommended to consult your bike's service manual for specific instructions tailored to your model. If you're not confident in your abilities, it's best to seek assistance from a professional mechanic.

Fitting a Brake Light deceleration flasher and a Tail/Stop LED strip. The deceleration unit is commonly advertised on Facebook etc. Not a paid promotion, I just fitted on because I like the idea. I also fitted an extra LED strip that has Tail, Brake and indicators on unit. Found on Amazon. You can’t be too visible.

But I can see where I am going now perfectly well. I have a 2004 650 Deauville and the headlight is fine. By the way I don't like the LED headlights on modern cars they dazzle me! Especially when they get you at a certain angle, say when the oncoming car or those big fat electric things are coming at you over the crest of a hill.

The model before the deauville which i think was the revera had the same air fillter box but it had a hole in the top so you could get at the synk screw without taling the air box off. And for some reason they blanked it of on the deauville. Thanks for posting the video.

fitted this delkavic exhaust to my deauville. The bike was running fine before the instalation then the problems started. On first start up popping and back fireing found out later this was a common problem with this exhaust system because of no back pressure.so took it of put my motad exhaust back on and bike runs fine again.no popping or banging. Thanks for the video.

Been proven a number of times the issue is not the lumens or led equivalent of the bulb but the surrounding deflector that is the problem. You can create a Frankenstein's monster by swapping out the entire headlight for another but there is no bulb alternative that makes any real improvement in the Deauvilles headlight performance

You can use a 15 / 20 cm piece of garden hose to remove/refit the plug located at the front left (the awkward one), after you loosen it up. The hose grasp the plug like the grommet in your socket and it makes it easy to unscrew. It helps a lot to screw the plug back straight.

That is an absolutely fantastic video. I have been looking for a video like this far and wide for ages and it was just by chance that another of your videos was 'recommended' to me! I think that was because NT650 is not in the title and so it wasn't displaying in the search results. Anyhow, glad I found you....did you replace the bulbs in the dash (speedometer and tacho) as mine are definitely not that bright!! Thank you so much would love to see more videos on this bike!!

I have exactly the same red Deau. When I first got it about 4 year ago someone I knew told me about this technique for rotating the bike on the centre stand. Did it once in my shed and it worked ok. Second time I did it the bike rotated fine then when I left go it fell away from me and over on it's side, the rotation pressures on the leg of the stand had introduced a twist to it which then made it too weak to support the bike so over it went., bending halfway up the leg of the stand. Needless to say after replacing the stand and all the other broken bits I never tried it again. My bike is a 2005 so the stand itself may have been a bit worse for wear but it did look ok to inspection.

It's the camera. Purchased in 2004, in Shanghai and now just about dead. It reverted to 270x320 and some sort of dodgy film tone. and only ran for 6 minutes. One day I'll buy a nice GoPro.

The plugs can be changed with the fairing in situ by the way, only the tank and air box need to come off to do it this way! Also, the facet pump is the #1 upgrade for these bikes so nice job on getting this out the way while you have it in bits, way more reliable than the Honda pump as standard. Also, like I mentioned in a previous video a lav mic would improve your commentary a lot so have a look into them 😁 Happy Deauville-ing 👍

Te pompy stare nie są złe . Po prostu po 20 latach wszystko się zużywa. Gdybyś kupił taką nową pompę to następne 100tys km wytrzyma, albo 20lat.
