Its a dump. Ive lived here 15 years. Bought my house..... every year its worse and worse. My kid is done school and i cant wait to get outa here. It sucks. Nothing here for me anymore. Nothing to do for fun. Nothing.

The strata fee is almost $450/ month. Management fees. Property tax almost $4000.00/ year. Water bill around 650/year, interest to pay to the bank $$$$. Maintenance costs. Upgrade and clean up the rental house. And supplies of kitchen appliances and laundry appliances. Sometimes I think just sell the house and pay off the mortgage and the put the rest of money in the blue chip market to collect dividends or simply put the money into the bank and get the interest payment from the bank! No headache, no worry no stress !

No the problem are that Landlords are taking advantage of the majority of people that are renters and can't afford to buy a house . Nobody can afford to live alone anymore with how much the rents have increased. Apartments I use to rent a 1 bedroom for $800 in New Westminster the same suite is now being rented for $2,400 per mth give me a break that is definitely a big rent increase.

It's ridiculous how much these landlords are charging for rent. Rents have tripled in amounts. 1 bedroom apartment rents have far exceeded the amount a single person can afford to rent compared to their income. It's gone out of control, and your ability to live a quality healthy lifestyle. Landlords are so greedy and have ruined the housing situation for the majority of people who live in BC. Never before has Vancouver had so many homeless people. Many of these are renters who have been long-term tenants that pay the rent on time find themselves homeless for the first time in their lives. Because of Landlord's giving 2 mth evictions to move out because of a family member moving in. Bad faith landlords that want to cash out by raising the rent up to the high market rate. Which is the going rate that other landlords are now charging. People end up not able to find affordable housing in two months or meet the criteria that Landlord's require now to rent a place they consider worthy of renting to you. No vaping, no drugs, no drinking, No smoking, No pets, No parties, No visitors. Credit Karma, Employment income, Bank account Information, photo ID, SIN tenant references, mandatory tenant insurance. Without these credentials, you may not find another place to live. Sadly this is the new reality for renters It's depressing as rental prices are continuing to go up every year and the job market is suffering and incomes are staying low. And the huge amount of new immigrants that have come to Canada to go to school and find housing and work. When our housing market has very little to offer, and it's suffering already the availability of places to rent thats affordable is extremely rare. When wage and income are so low compared to what Landlord's are charging for rent is insane. 😊

Investing is like watching your nest eggs not fall from the nest and crack, a different form of gambling! The only people that benefits from it are the bankers, the big corporations, and people who have more money than they need!

Yes tenants in BC have to many rights. Too many dead beat losers know how to abuse the system, and it screws over the landlords costing them thousands. It why myself, and 2 other friends will not rent out the base suites in our houses. The potential risk is not worth the benefit.

No, home sales are never going to pick up. Sellers are reluctant to cut down the prices and affordability of houses has become distant for many buyers. Once sellers adjust the price yes things can change and this is going to take a long time to happen. Thanks for your video.
