How to Grow Tulips (and Daffodils) in Pots for a Beautiful Spring Container Garden!
Not everyone needs nor wants to plant thousands of spring flowering bulbs each year. Sometimes you want to enjoy the benefit of a little pop of color in a fun spring display but on a much smaller scale. And that good news is that that’s entirely possible.
If there’s one thing that I’d like you to take away from this video it’s the fact that you can create a big impact with flowers even in a small space.
Something as simple as growing tulips and daffodils in pots is a great, low-effort way to usher in the spring season.
In this video, I'm sharing exactly how I grow spring flowering bulbs in pots!

    Hi thank you so much for this amazing video!! This might be a silly question but I was wondering when you know it is time to put the seedlings out to be hardened off and then planted? Is it just the usual time like for my area Mother's day is when we usually plant plugs! :)

    • @twosistersflowerfarm
      @twosistersflowerfarm 23 дні тому

      Personally, I aim to start hardening off my seedlings about a week before I intend to plant them out in the garden. It’s a gradual process of gently exposing them to the outdoor elements so that they transition well to being outside all day long. Just be sure to bring them inside at night if you’re still experiencing frost.

    I grow a ton (for a home gardener) of daffodils. And I find that thick bunch of single variety tulips as luxurious as the same bunch of dahlias. And the mini-scented ones like Geraniums? Adore. I just keep ordering them as our frostless fall stretches out. So smart.

    Thanks for this detailed video! I tried making a wreath today, before I found this video and I’m eager to try again😅, I’m curious about the eucalyptus. The first frost day has passed a week ago, but so far it is a mild autum so far. I got a lot of tulips bulbs on sale now. Should I still plant them in the groud? Or should I keep them in the fridge and plant them next spring?

    • @twosistersflowerfarm
      @twosistersflowerfarm 2 місяці тому

      I’d plant them now… bulbs are cold tolerant and you can often get away with planting them well into the winter as long as the ground isn’t yet frozen. I planted some daffodil bulbs in December of last year and they bloomed just fine :)
