Hey I am just curious whether you‘ve studied anything related to Electrical engineering or is it all DIY? :)
I took Introduction to Electricity in the 8th Grade (@ 50 years ago). I have relied heavily on visits to my public library and took lots of things apart to figure out how they work. When I was young, I couldn't afford the gear I wanted and had to fix and modify things to achieve the sounds I wanted. I'm no electronics whiz, but I've always been willing to fail on my way to finding what I'm looking for.

@theenderclops The Quad oscillator circuits I build (2 4093s) are based on a pcb produced for me by LowGain Electronics. The board is called the Dual Quad Oscillator Tim Kaiser Edition. However, the board is not available retail.
how do those old phone dial stutter things work?
@vlorschbuug A rotary phone dial is basically a switch that is normally closed. When you turn the dial and release, a spinning cam opens and closes the switch. That's how the old analog phone system knew the number you dialed by the number of pulses from the switch. You dial 9 and it opens and closes the switch 9 times. I'm just sending my output through that switch.

Hi Tim my friend recently passed away and I wanted put something up to remember him by .kev was bipolar and was different than most but a really nice person a one off .I saw this and other things you have made and think they are amazing I really do but when you opened this case it reminded me of my friend a dance rave music guy who used to see colours and this is the sort of thing he's descibe to me caused by his bipolar medication .I love it ..what I want to know it it possible to have some switches like in your other inventions play and alter dance rave music and have this screen and colours reaction to what you press ? Don't know if you understand what I'm saying but basically buttons and switches that creates music you can go bezerk too ? Dance and so on the weirder the better and it it had a screen like this all the better kev would love it and I'd display it where we worked in his memory ❤
@18psutton What you are describing is pretty hard to achieve in an analog way (which is mostly what I do). Perhaps there's some kind of app you could get for an iPad or something like that.
This device seems like it would fit perfectly into like science fiction move where demons or something are real, and the church uses devices like this to fight them, or something. Really cool and bad ass.
