Congelier house THE MOST HAUNTED HOUSE in AMERICA!
Try Colemont st. In North Braddock Pa. Steep long cobblestone hill. The air is thin at the top.
Loved The video
Too mad that a majority of City of Pittsburgh steps are not properly maintained
Havelock CASTLE Shannon
Castle Shannon has several. In addition to Havelock Street, 6th Street is fairly steep. There’s also Martha Street. It’s not very long but it’s almost straight up and down. My grandparents lived in Carrick on Almont Street. We used to go to my grandparent’s every Christmas. In the 70’s and early 80s I remember more than a few times we had to park at the bottom of the street and walk up. I remember 1 Christmas where no one was parked on the entire street because nobody could get up it.
I loved this video! What a great way to document the strange ways we make this city "our own!" The interviews were great and your narration even better
A superb video: i hope that many others will see it. It documents an important part of America's artistic history. I'm a little surprised, though, that the video doesn't mention the ghost story connected to the creation of these murals.
Very interesting video
Good people helping animals. Nice.
Printing computer generated images is not “Hand made”. Perhaps a better name would be “Printed by Machines Mall”.
Its more than 21ft Long?
When I was young back in the 1950s and early 1960s My mother visited a family member who lived in a house on the steps near a school type ofbuilding and its grounds on one side. I have always wanted to find these steps on Google Earth. The only thing I remember it was in the north side maybe Belleview or Brighton Heights.. The main thing I remember was a large college or school structure and grounds beside the steps opposite the homes and the street below had street cars on it. I wouldn't even know how to do a Google search for it. Interestingly I am 79 in November and my kids and grandkids want me to write down my life,, back in May or June I was thinking about those steps.

The Steps of Pittsburgh is the best book ive seems to so far about the steps. Im going to have to check your book out.
If I was a billionaire, i would personally pay to fix up all the city steps.
Same thing every time with any video about Pittsburgh. Very few views and the comments are mostly from the locals. Shame the city gets no respect with most of America thinking it is still that ugly dirty steel city. I don't think Pittsburgh will ever be able to shake that image. A shame really.
Cincinnati - similar story about 19th and early 20th century neighborhoods / stairways on the hills surrounding the “basin.”.
Sadly, Heinz no longer makes pickles.
The worst ones maybe aren’t as steep but end in a high speed high traffic area, like S Aiken going down from Sq Hill to 5th Ave. I always hated that and tried to avoid it.
Not a word about Mnt Washington! NACHEZ ST (Na chz st)! Next to grocery store. Steepest DROP IN 🤙
That’s me as springtrap

Thank you for explaining what a “stand in” does. John

Great job!
Very cool. 👏👏👏👏
Absolutely fantastic! I cannot imagine growing up on these steps.. I wanna visit!!
The Pittsburgh steps are literally my favorite thing.
Love this!
Technically not Pittsburgh, but there used to be a set of stairs in West Mifflin between Inland Avenue and the corner of Outlook Drive and Glencairn Street just outside of the Kennywood parking lot. They were a part of Glencairn Street that went down to Kennywood Boulevard (St. Rt. 837). They were not long; only about 75 feet from the top.
