Limbs 4 Life is a not for profit organisation developed to provide support, information and access to resources for people in the Australian community effected by limb loss.
Advancements in prosthetic technology
Prosthetic technology has advanced over the years, so much so that computer technology is assisting people to achieve better outcomes. In this video Mike and Melissa share their own experiences and we get a look into the background of prosthetist Mark from Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Funding for advanced prosthetics is not available to all and government bodies need to understand the benefits that these devices can bring to amputees, while helping to prevent falls and hospital admissions.

Hi Annette, funding for prosthetics in Australia is covered by various different funding streams. There are minimal out of pocket costs.
