Hi everyone, It’s Muriel, I vet all the properties for trips I curate in Southeast Asia. In this video we visit Hotel Des Arts - Saigon, an MGallery hotel. This luxury boutique hotel is ideal for its location in the vibrant District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City within walking distance of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House, and the historic Saigon Central Post Office.
I love the elegant art deco design and the owner’s collection of art pieces and paintings displayed on the walls and hallways throughout the building.
Cafe Des Beaux Arts is a sophisticated art cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. The Arts Room in the back is my favorite area in the cafe for its privacy.
The elevators in the middle of the building take you to all the rooms, restaurants, spa, fitness center, rooftop pool and bar.
The deluxe rooms have a partially open bathroom. It is compact but elegant and has premium bath amenities. It can be closed off from the sleeping area with a curtain. The marble tiled shower and toilet have frosted glass doors for privacy. There is a writing desk, a refrigerator, coffee and tea making facility as well as complimentary bottles of water to keep you hydrated.
On the third floor, the wellness area includes Le Spa Des Artistes and a 24 hour fitness center with views of the city. It is complete with all the equipment needed for a good workout.
The largest room category is the Executive Studio suite. It gives you access to the Executive Sky Lounge. My favorite part of the suite is that the bathroom is separate from the sleeping area. It’s spacious, with a luxurious bathtub, shower, and dual sinks.
On the 23rd floor is the British restaurant, The Albion. I suggest booking tables by the windows to get nice views of the city. The vintage Victorian Bar is a focal point of the restaurant.
The Saigon Kitchen on the second floor is where I like to have breakfast at the hotel. The decor is inspired by Asian street food scene and the breakfast buffet has tasty Indochinese cuisine as well as a variety of international dishes. I especially like the standalone food carts that make fresh local Vietnamese dishes right in front of you and the menu that changes daily.
Social Club Rooftop Bar on the 24th floor has spectacular views of the city. With the stunning infinity pool off to the side, it’s the perfect spot to catch a gorgeous sunset. It’s a popular spot, so be sure to arrive early to snag the best seats for sunset!
The infinity pool is perfect for a refreshing swim, and there are a few loungers where you can relax and take in the stunning views. Just keep in mind that the pool is exclusively for in-house guests.
Overall: Hotel Des Arts Saigon would be one of my top luxury hotels to stay in the vibrant district 3 of Ho Chi Minh City. It's within walking distance to key tourist attractions and restaurants.

Keep in mind: The youth cultural center across the street and the rooftop bar on the 24th floor can get noisy on some nights. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest requesting a room located further away from both.
