Cid and Vincent were the ones who knew Aerith the least which explain their more distant reaction, I guess. Barret and Tifa knew her all along since Midgar and both of them also had to horrifying trauma in their past, just like Cloud. When you think about it this is yet another hit and trauma on their face. Very well captioned by the game designer despite the limited possibilities PS1 offered to visually display it back then. Still a masterpiece.

Tifa and Yuffie are the most heartbreaking reactions for me. People don't realize how close Tifa was to Aerith; they were basically sisters in the original, ESPECIALLY in the Remake. Tifa gets on her knees and starts brushing her hair, admiring how beautiful she looked even in death. But when she gets up, she realizes that one of her closest friends is gone, and she becomes overwhelmed with emotion, and she covers her mouth and runs away. Yuffie is a different case. She is often known to be selfish and bratty and can be unlikable at times, but this scene makes you realize she's just a kid, and when a treasured love one has passed away, she starts breaking down, and she throws herself into Cloud's arms and cries really hard. Today, when i posted this, it was when Rebirth came out, so we'll see if they are true to their guns.

all of their reactions were so real heartbreaking. I had yuffie and tifa in my party not even knowing that there was going to be reactions all i knew is that aerith died. But fuck man seeing barret look at her saddened by the girl who saved marlenes death hits so hard. if this happens in remake p2 i can def see him telling her "thank you for saving my little marlene despite not knowing who I even was" or something like that. tifas reactions too its all so heart breaking

In 1997 I was obsessed with this game. I bawled my little head-off with the pixel Sephiroth scene on disc 2… you know what I’m talking about. I dunno if I can handle a remake of that scene 😭 It might just give me a heart-attack or stroke nowadays

I dont see why ff16 could not have been made to run on prev gen. Sure lower graphics, longer load times, but nothing is jumping out to me as next gen only tech.

I'm back and after rewatching this I realize why no one can deny Aerith. It's because 1. she wouldn't make you do something she wouldn't do 2. she wouldn't make you do something alone and 3. she gives you all the credit when you've done something together likeeee can she be more perfect?

Barret's reaction is probably the most emotional for me. The 2nd stage of grief is anger, which Barret is known for, but his body language makes it clear that he is unable to progress past denial. I'm pretty sure all of his head shaking was meant to show that.

Aerith taking chair reminds me of those wwe wrestler carrying chair. But, more on very humorous moment.😅🤣

I always played with Barret and Tifa in my party. I've never seen the other reactions. Didn't even think about the possibility of the other chars having other animations. Yuffie made me tear up.. Fuck.

If sekiro is only for ps4 , sekiro would be in my list..sekiro is one best game I ever played..as gameplay mechanics is just awesome..I don't like uncharted series, Spiderman series,gow series..

For me, the most adorable moment of her is when she says: "Go Team!". Sadly, it was only two times that I could remember, but still priceless.

I loved it when Aerith held Cloud's hand and said "Cloud, get it together. Come on". And also when they're talking to the flowers.

That was a lot of fun! We ‘ll have to get your light level up, and see what other activities you have access to.

#1 was when I knew I would adore this game. I was so scared the writers would bastardize her character and portray her as like some Virgin Mary

Exactly why we love her. The world of the game is so dark, it feels hopeless, and all of a sudden you bump into a beautiful girl who finds good in everything, even Cloud (you), and does her best to turn him into a better person. She is hope, even if she has a bad life herself, she is so sweet she brings down all your defenses, and all you can do is let her into your heart. The sad part is, unlike Cloud, we know these are the best moments of his life, his little precious time with his angel, before she gives up evertything to save their world.

My favorite moment is when she is on the ground praying for the holy materia :) joke aside how could you forget the scene when Aerith ask Cloud in Corneleo's mansion for permission to kill. That was the best one of them.
