Nice DIY project Dug out & moved 40msq of earth through the house and then built some walls.
Trying to build this and the doors are off plus the front support doesn't line up with screws😡
Add some photos to see if anyone can help? Are the door on upside down...
The manufacturers are useless with their diagrams ! Well explained. Thank you
Thanks for the help
Thank you the instructing that came with it are useless. You explained it all very well😊
I've had this BBQ for over a year now, and it's still as good as new ... cooks really well and plenty of room for a parties worth of food ... (Asda has adjusted their description now and I would highly recommend it) 👍
Just ordered this for my garden my other broken now can't wait try it out when arrives tomorrow
How did you get on with it?
@@philpersdiy5184brilliant managed building myself and cut everything even bits could get to with my old strimmer thank you for the video ❤
Amazing video thank you so much! Flymo instructions made no sense what so ever!!!! I’m all set up within 5 mins. You are a gentleman!!
Hi all, thank you for watching the video and for the positive comments ... I'd really appreciate it if you clicked the subscribe button 🙏 I dont add many videos, so you won't be bombarded with emails. Thanks in advance ... PhilpersDIY 👍
So grateful for your video Thank you!. Like a lot of others here, I had no idea from the manual haha
Too true!! Instruction drawings with machine very confusing !! Grrrrrrrr as no written instructions lol managed it in end with bit of luck lol 😅
Thanks for this, explained better than Flymo. Thank God for people taking the time to put these videos up.
Thanks for the feedback 👍
Going buy need one do corner can't get to this looks amazing thank you for the video
When you put grill body on top does it have to line up with the holes
Yeah, the grille is a little offset, so the food doesn't fall forward 👍
Can't believe I had to watch this to get that cover on. Instructions are not good. Now it's together the handle where it clips together at very start of assembly there is so much movement it's like flooping about so would like to know if anyone else has the same issue. Thanks for video.
Only just seen your comments, are you all sorted now?
I can see that you were as confused by the instructions as I was 😂 thank God for your video!
😂😂
Thank you. I could not understand the instructions without you video I would be staring at the instructions all day lol
👍👍
same here!
Thank you . Could not understand the instructions you were a great help.
👍👍
Hi just wondering if you can put coals into this BBQ too for a more authentic taste or if it’s gas burn only?
I would say gas only, the removeable base might not be up to the coal heat and it would burn the gas burners ...
Any news about the grates? The picture clearly shows what looks like cast iron grates.
I contacted Asda and they gave a small discount that I was happy with ... i think the term I should have used was "cast iron grates" ... I looked at the more expensive model to see if i wanted an upgrade but that had the wire grilles aswell ... to be honest the wire grilles are stronger / thicker than I was expecting and work really well ... about 10 bbqs in and they are still like new .. I'll add a few photos / video when i get chance 🍔🌭
@@philpersdiy5184 I thought the wire looked to be a reasonable gauge. Mine should be arriving on Saturday (just in time for the rain) so I might give them a call to see if I can get anything knocked off. Thanks for the reply.
Hi mate. I am in between this and also Nexgrill. Which brand do you think is better in terms of quality and warranty?
Sorry mate, i don't know much about the Nexgrill as I've never owned one, but having had the uniflame for several months now, probably 10 bbqs .. I'm really impressed, loads of room on the 5 burner plus side stove, good flame control with the heater knobs, viewing glass is great and cleaning it is easy with the massive removable base. How much is the Nexgrill? ## Is anybody else reading this, with more knowledge of both bbqs that could answer this question please? ##
@@philpersdiy5184 thanks mate. Nexgrill Classic 4 Burner Gas Grill with a Charcoal Tray Insert was £250 but whilst I was waiting, lt went out of stock 😂 only concern I have uniflame ones have porcelain grill. How is it at the moment? Do you know if there is a way to replace them it is damaged? We are 4 people and planing to use it 3 times a week from June to the end of aug ( brilliant Scotland weather😂)
@TravellerSeko absolutely make the most of the weather whilst it's warm 👍 ... turns out the grille bars are coated in porcelain, they clean up well and they are in 3 peices which fit nicely in the dishwasher 😉 ... i bought a plastic tray large enough to fit the grilles in to clean before the dishwasher ... i was worried about the grilles at first, but they are thicker than my previous bbq and are waring well. I think you can buy replacements grilles on amazon in the future if required... enjoy whichever you decide 🌭🥪🌮🍔🥓🥩🍻🍺🥂🥃
@@philpersdiy5184 I’ll probably order Uniflame mate. Thanks very much. Please please keep on posting informative videos about barbecue and your experiences. It is so useful for people in UK. I honestly don’t give a s**t about USA based channel as it is impossible to find those pieces in UK😂😂 thanks again
@@travellerseko Thanks 👍👍
Nice video, just purchased one. Pity there is no side hooks to hang utensils. May have to get the drill out & do a little DIY 😆
🤣 Let know how that goes, i was thinking of doing the same ...
@@philpersdiy5184I will do. I am sure small pilot holes through the side for hooks wont be too much bother 👌
I'm trying to connect the side burner does the metal pipe bit literally just slot in? Step 15.
Have you sorted it, from memory ... i think it just pushed in
Nope, it seems quire loose and not far in
I'll have a look at mine when i get chance and let you know
Thanks 😊
Yeah mine is a loose fit as well and I've used it about 20 times now without any problems 👍 have you got a picture of step 15, i can't remember what it said in the instruction manual
About the grates. It actually does come with ceramic coated wire grates. My issues was that the website for the product shows that it has cast iron grates on the main cooking area. I'm going to call them also to see what's going on. In terms of my thoughts on the BBQ - All the important internals are stainless which is excellent and having 5 burners is great for control. On the flip side I think the flame tamers are a little narrow, I think the rear vent is a little too large (I might reduce it a little with a strip of aluminium) and I'm always a little puzzled with BBQs that have a weird mix of stainless steel and painted metal - I mean if the sides fall apart due to rust, what's the point of the doors being stainless? Overall I'm pleased with the BBQ I got - I went out to the store and bought it because my trusty old BBQ decided to die the day before we were hosting a BBQ last week. I've cooked on it 3 times this week and no complaints in terms of what matters - getting great tasting food. This weekend I'm going to try the rotisserie - looking for kebab recipes right now.
How did you get on with the rotisserie, i haven't tried it yet....
@@philpersdiy5184 Rotisserie function works very well indeed. I was concerned with how hot the battery unit got being close to the heat but fixed that with a piece of foil acting as a shield. Overall very pleased with the BBQ and the rotisserie. I've made some amazing chicken shawarma kebab. I mentioned earlier that I felt the rear vent was too large - it is. I bought a short strip of galvanised steel from B&Q and riveted it into place to make the rear vent less than half the size it was originally. It now holds heat far more easily and uses a lot less gas - 2 burners can now maintain a temperature that required 3 previously. BBQ performs better in the wind now also.
I’m having trouble putting my warming rack in. Like it literally just doesn’t sit properly and won’t go in an ideas….
Spin it around 180 ... the lip goes at the back? Hope this helps 👍
Thanks for your reply! Upon looking into it. My warming rack has actually been manufactured wrong! As I’ve been down to Asda to make sure I wasn’t having a bad day haha’ I’m now in contact with customer service
Are you all sorted with the warming rack?
@@philpersdiy5184 Yes had a new one sent out to me. with correctly positions
How did you get on chasing up the porcelin grates mate? Just noticed mine look like bog standard steel grates when unboxing (and subsequently noticed some items are damaged wheh half way through building 🙄 so now to unbuild and repackage awaiting collection).
Asda / George were very helpful and we negotiate a discount that i was happy with. The grille bars aren't what i wanted originally, but they work very well and are thicker bars than my last one. Contact them and I'm sure they will replace it... i looked at the next most expensive one up and it also has the metal bars for a grille... good luck
Looking forward to an invite mate!
I literally just ordered mine a few days ago! How long did it take to put together? And I’ve never owned a gas BBQ before so it would be good to know which gas you are using, and when do you know you have enough left ?
You'll love it .... it took about an hour to put together and would help if you had a second pair of hands .... I bought a large bottle of propane from a local hardware store, as it was my first bottle I had to pay a deposit .. it cost about £90 but it will only be about £50 to swap each time... lets see a photo once its put together 👍🍔
Thank you! I finally bought one and assembled it. Used it a few times now but unsure if my flame output is powerful enough! It doesn’t seem to be compared to the Weber ones I’ve seems. Would you mind filming a video of you using it / cooking on it? Thanks
@@mariyaahmed2218 I will try and remember next time I have a BBQ 👍
I've used it about 10 times now, and it cooks well, the temperature seems very hot and the flames look aggressive... are all the burners coming out as they should be?
How are you getting on with it
