This is one of a few ways I've customized tension wrenches. Weather you would want to do this, or not. It's up to you. I just wanted to share this project with you, and maybe it will give you some of your own ideas on how to customize them. Later one I plan on adding to this, and show other ways I have customized/personalized My tensioners. If you're reading this, and the video was helpful, or ...

The first one is pretty simple, the second needs a bit more effort, but I really liked how both came out. They look good, and I can bring them anywhere. No one will suspect there's locks inside. If you ever thought about making a lock stand, this video could help. It talks a bit about what tools, and fasteners you can use, as well as how to keep the cylinders in place, so they can't slip out. I also showed how I up cycled a oak sign and turned it into my lock stand. Link for Set screw used in video Stainless 6-32 x 1/2" (1/4" to 1" Available) Socket Set Screws Cup Point, Stainless Stee...

Cheap (but very effective) tricks for challenge locks
Paul is awesome, all the giveaways he does and that he does for the community is legendary, awesome stuff, recommend a Newcastle or two before the Vegemite and do the challenge too 🦾🤙👍
How dare them! 😏 Good job! 😀
Thanks man!!! Have a awesome day 😊👍🏻
And just like that…. The walls come crashing down!
👍🏻👍🏻 it's crazy people use these to lock their houses up. Have a good one brother!!!
Way to go... ROOK THE KNIGHT... Someone's pants are on fire 🔥 and it's not yours 😂 All in all good fun all round.
Exactly brother, not trying to shame anyone, just having a bit of fun. I think people give their locks way to much credit, and don't realize what a bit of knowledge, and practice can do. Especially years of it lol. Catch you later my friend 👍🏻
Flickerty Flick Flick. Simple as that.
TIng tang, walla walla, bing bang 🤣😂 Hope you're enjoying your week so far brother!
Social media has only proven that not everyone deserves to be heard. Good on ya, Rook 👍
Well said brother. Thanks 🤜🏻🤛🏻
And that's that dealt with 😂😂. Anyone who knows you would never say such a thing.... Bosnian Bill rule number one....don't feed the trolls. But respect to you for dealing with it. Have a great rest of the week buddy 🤜🤛👍😁
Thanks brother, darn good advice. Hope you have a great rest of your week too.
I've seen these snap tools before, but never thought of making one. What's the best material I can use? Gauge?
The best stuff to make them out of would probably be bicycle spokes At least that's what a lot of people recommend. Look for extra long ones (the longer the better) They are strong, but still pliable. You will need to do some files at the tip. To make it more kife shape. I think the gauge is one size for all, but check out a few UA-cam videos. They will give you a deeper insight. Hope that helps brother
@@RookKnight Thanks for your explanation.
No worries brother
Ohne sicherheitspin geht das locker vom hocker im englischen; easy job well done 🙂👍👍
I had 3 security pins inside, without would definitely be easier. Have a good day 👍🏻
When is your sleight of hand tutorial?
Lmao that's funny. Have a great week bro 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I look forward to what you do with the pokey tools-I saved one my wife used to have, agree they feel like they can become....something! And you haven't had or picked any Abloys? For some reason, I'm shocked!
I keep thinking about some use for it. There's got to be something we can use it for. I did pick one abloy cutaway, and one regular abloy padlock, but that was it. Although I just broke my abloy pick so Not sure when I will be picking again. Im gutted over it. I'll do a video soon to show what happened to it, if anything maybe it will be a warning for someone else. Have a great rest of your week brother 👍🏻
Some people only taste success when they try to take a bite of ya! Never had a Doubt Bro.
I love how you said that. Thanks brother
I have been a picker and a sub for several years and I never doubt anything you post.😊
That means so much to me. Thank you for saying that. Hope you have a great week ahead 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Ok Haters. Understand now ? He even added a close up... security pins..one camera shot... even pop ups & sound effects. Opened one handed using DIY tools. Nuf sed. Sleep now 🛏️
I really appreciate that brother. Thank you 🙏🏻 hope you have a good rest of your week 👍🏻
I had some locksport character on Instagram said I did a fake opening on plug spinning a padlock backwards, a method that I came up with well I filmed me doing it and then he stopped following me ignore the assholes.
Shame on such idiots, they are tellin' that any of your opens is a fake one! That's clean physics, just needs Some brain for thinking... Thanks for the demonstration, have a nice one Bro! 👍👏🍻
Thanks brother, I appreciate the advice. Have a good one my friend 👍🏻
What patience to validate every video that is so criticised, then....
Not sure what you mean ?
@@RookKnight don't listen to dummies, it's not worth it, it wastes your time.
I mean it in a good way, if you misunderstood, I'm sorry.
@@TuMayPicking well said, and I do try, but sometimes they get under my skin.
It's that old 'looks like your pulling the lock from a group of locks trick" -totally fake 😂😂😂😂😂 Nice pick gun ,looks well made . Cheers and all the best to you and yours ,have a great week ahead 👍 🍻 🍻
😆😂😆😂 thanks for the laughs brother. Hope you have a great week too🤜🏻🤛🏻
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
How dare you fake it!!! LMAO People just want to start crap. They assume if they cannot do it, no one can. Lock makers just care about making a $$$ and not how secure the product really is! Great job by the way!
You said it perfectly!! I completely agree with you brother. Thanks and have a good evening my friend
Dude: I love that cylinder display mount!
Thank you. I made it from a old sign. Not to bad for some junk I had laying around the house lol. Have a good day 👍🏻
That one had more security pins than 99.99 % of the house locks in use. Great job picking and gutting, Excellent job setting up the smoke and mirrors..... ;) Have a great day
LMAO that's funny brother. Thanks hope you have a great day too my friend 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Nicely done! Put to bed successfully
🛏️ 🐍 thanks brother 😁 have a good one
Very cool
All in good fun. Hope the day is treating you well bro
I really dislike comments that think you're faking it.
@bobbykeyz1263 same here brother 👍🏻
awesome buddy!!😂🎉
Thanks brother 🙏🏻😁
Great slight of hand Rook lol. A great reply video
Lmao you too, I'm going to become a magician 😂😆 thanks brother hope the day is treating you well!
still fake dude lol just kiddin nice snapper🧐🤩
LMAO that's funny!! Have a good one brother, and thanks 👍🏻
🤣 you Rock Rook!!!👍🐈⬛🐾👏👏👏🐝
Right back at you my friend!
I am going to put together a package for you. Time for me to send you more locks and stuff I think 🤔 😀🐈⬛🐾👏🐝
You don't have to do that brother.
yes I do 😅
You're awesome my friend 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I get comments like this constantly or my favorite is when i do Lockouts and get its an easy lovk you took to long
People are something else. Some times I think they are coming from a place of just not knowing how locks work, but then there's the dicks. Usually it's jealousy that you can do something they can't lol. Be good brother 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Nice
Thanks brother!
Went to the right person so enjoy:-)
Thanks again my friend.
Nolo se Rick Parece falso
so I have picking Medeco, Anchor las, Kryptonites, Gerda, to name a few, but this simple 5 or 6 pin tumbler I had to fake? I can open this lock one handed LMAO

Nice Wall
Thank you my friend. Have a good one 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video. Just what I was looking for!
Awesome bro, very happy to hear that. Thanks!
Pretty shiny lock 🤩 nice open 👍🏻 what mic is that?
Thanks man. The mic is just one of those cheap ones an Amazon. I think I paid $7 bucks for it.
I’ve been wanting to make one what wire are you using I like that wire and it’s black.
Its actually just made from a metal coat hanger, and I got some of that liquid bluing to made it black. For the tip I just used a hammer and flattened it. Then a bit of filing to size. Probably not the strongest material, but I made this years ago, and it keeps working like a charm. Hope that helps brother 👍🏻
@@RookKnight Thanks I have quite a bit of wire I made my own smart key spindle tool I flattened it on my vise as well.
Awesome!!
Some nice goodies there 😍 When you decide to join the Vegemite club I will send you the sticker. There are some rules so let me know and I can go over them with you. ✌🏻🌶
Sounds good brother, I will work on psyching myself up LMAO
Wow, Paul fixed you up! Good deal! What are the two brass things in plastic you are going to try to use later?
He is a legend. I can't thank him enough. Those 2 things in the bags, I believe they were for opening doors back in the beginning of covid. It was a way to touch stuff without actually touching with your hands, kinda thing (but don't quote me, I could be wrong) anyways he threw them in knowing how much I like to repurpose things. Thanks for stopping by bro👍🏻take care
Wow Wow Wow!!!🙀 Amazing package!!! Tons of fun ahead!! 🐈⬛🐾👍👏👏👏👍
I was absolutely stupefied lol
🤣👍🐈⬛🐾
Very nice package, merry picksmas😊🤘🤜🤛
You said it brother 👍🏻👍🏻
Still waiting for postman pat to drop off my parcel from him.
I ended up missing my postman, and had to take a ride to the post office lol Have a good week ahead Rune!!!
😮😮😮 WOW what a package!!
LC I did not expect that. Can't thank him enough. Very excited for that bi-lock, I'm already watching evey video I can on them, before I start. Have a good week ahead brother 👍🏻
It's sort of counterintuitive how a lock with spool pins can be opened so quickly, and yet we struggle when SP picking. I've experienced the same situation.
Totally agree, don't get me wrong I love SPPing, but it's amazing how raking, zipping, etc. is so darn useful, and quick. Not to mention fun as all hell lol.
@@RookKnight I remember back in the 90's how I made my first mini wave rake before it became a 'thing' from spring carbon steel. I could open Master locks with it not by zipping, but by twitching the pick between two fingers. This technique always resonated with me, and it would later become the go-to technique for opening some dimple locks using a modified comb pick. BTY, I don't like leaving short reviews. Sorry, I like starting conversations.
@laurenarndt464 all good. Im not the best at texting, but I do like reading what people have to say. I wish I know about this stuff in the 90's, I only started getting into it 7 or 8 years ago. I will say it's been an addiction ever since.
tim tams are awesome! lots of great stuff! i think its a good cat name!
You're awesome Dana!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend my friend
@@RookKnight its ok iv been home all weekend cus Trump was in town and i don't want to deal with all the extra people so iv been doing yard chores , i was suppose to go kayaking with my sister but she got sick!
I know what you mean. I hate when when that stuff comes to town. Hope your sister is ok.
@@RookKnight i think it would be neat to be at the event but way to many people! and so many people showed up they had to send them away cus it was in the school theater and its only two blocks from my home! so ya i was not going anywhere near it if any thing i was going to take my kayak trailer and go away from it to the river but ya that didnt happen but oh well got some much needed work done!
I am absolutely terrified of crowds to be honest. I don't even like Walmart unless I really need something lol. On the other hand, kayaking sounds incredible. I love being out in nature. I even enjoy yard work (most of the time anyways) hope you have a good week ahead D 😁👍🏻
