This channel is a representation of my current dance life today. This channel serves to be a great resource for music educators to gain insight into what Native American Pow wow dancing really is, by a fellow educator. That's right! I have a master's degree in music education, have served as drum major in high school and university, have played various clarinet solos and teach lessons, and various other classical western practices of music. HOWEVER!!! Music is a a way of life for many people and regardless on knowing how to read music, people still perform/participate in it without a licensed educator.

Cultural music and practices may or may not be influenced by western classical music. Therefore it's time for music educators to stop being so one sided.
