Can Workers Compensation Adjusters Talk to Doctors
Thank you for your videos. I am in CA and it is still helpful because I learned something.
65 since that is the age your 'ailments' would be covered by Medicare. What about if you are 61 and was planning to work until 65? Can you settle for wages for those 4 years?
God, I hate lawyers
Thank you
You're welcome.
Can they find a fake page of yours?
Is it possible to find out if they are are paying for it before the surgery?
In a Georgia workers' compensation claim, you can find out if the insurance company is going to pay for surgery beforehand. One way to do this is to contact the doctor's office to find out if the workers' compensation insurance company has authorized the surgery.
Thanks for your videos you give us hope you seem like a very kind man wish these lawyers in California where more kind they never have time for you in California,I'm on second lawyer he's better then first lawyer ,still question go unanswered with this new one also, don't want to upset him so I give him space.Hopefully hye working on a stronger case.

Thank you for your comment. I am so sorry to hear that you are going through all that.
Why would they stop paying you if you under still Dr care
Thank you for your question. Are you asking about being paid wage loss benefits? Under Georgia's workers' compensation law, there are several reasons that wage loss benefits can stop even if you are still receiving medical treatment. Two of the most common reasons are if you return to work or if your workers' compensation doctor says you can return to full duty work without restrictions. There are ways that you can fight the insurance company stopping your wage loss benefits, but it will depend on the specific facts of your case. If you would like to schedule a free consultation to discuss those, you can reach out to our office at 770-214-8885 or visit our website at www.PerkinsLawTalk.com.
what is a F grade

You're welcome! I hope you found the information helpful.
Do you service Minnesota?
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not handle cases in Minnesota. Our firm handles Georgia workers compensation claims.
I'm in NC and ive been watching your video for years
Thank you for watching the videos. If you are in North Carolina, it is important to remember that states have different workers' compensation laws. The videos in the Georgia Workers Compensation Video Series reference the workers' compensation laws and rules that apply to Georgia workers' compensation claims. If you are dealing with a workers' compensation claim in a different state, be sure to consult with an attorney who handles workers' compensation claims for that state.
You have been a great help bc no attorney would take my case, it was not big enough,
Glad to hear you found the videos helpful.
Why can't you just answer the question on how much it is worth instead of this long-winded bulshit that tells people nothing
I am sorry to hear that you did not find the video helpful. But, I do appreciate your question and will attempt to answer it. A workers' compensation herniated disk injury does not have a certain value or worth associated with it. There are a number of factors that affect the value of a case such as the temporary total disability rate, whether someone has had surgery or whether it has been recommended, how a person recovered from the injury and what sort of ongoing or permanent limitations they have, what their permanent partial disability rating is, their age, their education, their prior work experience, and whether they are able to return to work or not. Each one of those factors and a number of others affects the settlement value of a case if an individual decides to settle.
Thanks ❤

My husband just got fired, he was on work comp, and recovering from getting his toe amputated by a forklift collision. It wasn't his fault, He was at a complete stop when his co-worker collided with him, this was about a month ago. Should we lawyer up?
Thank you for your question. I am so sorry to hear about your husband's injury as well as his recent termination from his job. It is definitely important to talk to a workers' compensation lawyer when you have an ongoing workers' compensation claim and your employer terminates you. In addition to affecting your benefits through your job, employment termination often affects your rights to workers' compensation benefits as well. If you would like to schedule a free workers' compensation consultation, you can do that visiting www.PerkinsLawtalk.com/consult or by calling our office at 770-809-6939.
@@GeorgiaWorkersCompLawyer Thank you very much, I'll be reaching out very soon.
They stopped my wage and medical benefits, i wasn't given a disability rating Bc my attorney wasn't working with my WC doctor, so i had to hire another attorney, i didn't know i needed to ask for disability rating until i just heard you say it. I am in Louisiana, my new attorney is in the process of filing a suit against WC, insurance company Bc they stopped my benefits, i didn't even get a notice, my old attorney didn't notify me about the stoppage, please advice me and thanks in advance. I have been subscribed to your channel for over a year , you provide great support and info
Thank you for your comment! I am glad to hear that you find the channel helpful. I am sorry to hear about what you went through. If you have a current attorney representing you in your workers' compensation case, you should get advice from them. They know about all of the specifics of your particular case. Also, each state has different workers' compensation laws. If your claim is being handled as a Louisiana workers' compensation claim, different laws and rules would apply.
@GeorgiaWorkersCompLawyer ok thank U very much for responding, and yes your channel is very helpful and informative, thanks again
Thank you! This was helpful! I have my 1st workers comp phone interview tomorrow and am trying to self educate!

Are you speaking to me?...lol sounds like you're speaking to me.
How much do you think an acromioclavicular arthritis and mild bursitis in shoulder case is worth?
Thank you for your question! Many different factors determine the amount for which a case should settle including the type of injury, the job you did, your age, permanent restrictions, future medical treatment, and your preinjury earnings (just to name a few). These two articles from our Perkins Law Talk blog discuss settlement in more detail: perkinslawtalk.com/blog/settlement-of-a-georgia-workers-compensation-case/ and perkinslawtalk.com/blog/how-do-insurance-companies-calculate-settlements/. Also, the best way to have a discussion about settlement is to talk with a workers' compensation attorney. You can schedule a free consultation with one of our workers' compensation attorneys by calling 770-214-8885 or visiting www.perkinslawtalk.com/consult.
Thank you Father God for this video! I ask that you bless this man, His firm and team. That they are able to educate and spread awareness about workers compensation so that people are able to have understanding and the BEST settlements for their loss due to work injuries. That you help the people heal and look to you for answers and provision. That ALL who believe Trust you, your timing and the good plans you have them in their lives. In Jesus mighty name Amen 🙏🏾.
LMAO don't I know
What if the MRI shows degenerative back disease?
Insurance companies often try to argue that degenerative disc disease is a preexisting condition and was not caused by the work-related injury. Under the workers' compensation law in Georgia, preexisting conditions can be tricky because workers' compensation covers aggravations of preexisting conditions. If you have an attorney, I would recommend discussing with them. If you do not, please feel free to reach out to our office for a free consultation at www.PerkinsLawTalk.com/consult or by calling 770-214-8885.
"promosm" 🙄
Mr perkins great video ,insights and advice i been listeningto your videos for about 2 years now bc U give great content , i am in Louisiana my Benefits were stopped in may of 2023 bc my attorney didn't tell me to get work statuses and the insurance doctor helped to stop it , medical is being refused until i have a tumor resectioning done in my neck , my new attorney will resume my workers com case back bc i need lumbar surgery, the benfits i have lost without a notice will i be able to get them back now or at settlement time and thank U in advance for answering
Thank you for your comment! Every state has different workers' compensation laws. So, the rules and regulations discussions from the Georgia Workers' Compensation Video Series videos would only apply if you have a Georgia workers' compensation claim. From your comment, it sounds like your workers' compensation claim may be in another state's workers' compensation system. I would recommend speaking with your new attorney and asking them your questions.

I had 2 surgeries and they said they have survalence in me. They are going to question me without me seeing the video first Don’t know it it’s groceries or took out garbage maybe dog for a walk. I got metal in my body and they still won’t stop. Any advice when they’re gonna be asking me questions and I didn’t see the video very fighting and I think it’s unfair. Let me see what they want to ask me about so I can defend myself.
Is there a way I can explain my situation to you and you give me some form of guidance please? I had a work comp meniscus tear and after the surgery they see it’s not getting better and now they are saying I may need a knee replacement due to arthritis . I’m a truck driver and only 35 years old. Am I in good position to turn down the knee replacement and ask for a settlement? If so is it a good amount? Etc..
Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear about what you are going through. The best way to discuss your particular situation is to set up a free consultation about your case. If you would like to schedule a free consultation about your case, please call our office at 770-214-8885 or visit www.perkinslawtalk.com/consult/ and complete and submit the free consultation request form.
I been on workers compensation going into my thirteen year. I've been through hearing judge, appellate and Superior court fir catastrophic. I also was granted catastrophic by all three. Now my attorney want to drop my case because my pain specialist want take me off a certain medicine. Say that my job attorneys not willing to pay.

Bullet hit my left shoulder..how I get compensation..am working in UN minusca project
Hello , I’m 64 and still working, I got hurt at work in 2022 . I had two surgeries one to my elbow and rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder. I’ll be out of work for roughly 2 years. What happens if I’m not contributing to my social security for those two years. Thank you ! I am on Workmen’s Comp.
Thank you for your question. Are you asking about what happens when you do not pay into the Social Security system for those two years and how that will affect the amount of your Social Security benefits in the future? If so, unfortunately I am not an expert in how Social Security calculates your benefits so I could not give you an accurate answer to that question. If you were asking a different question, please let me know. Thanks!
Dr testimony’s Like when the insurance examining doctor who ultimately closes the case and sends you to work full of lies. Then is the only witness 1 of 5 not to show his face during a Zoom testimony with the “I don’t feel so good” but I’ll just call in. Sounds perfectly fine over the phone and uses the word “sure” instead of Yes.
How much is a total knee replacement worth in workers comp case?
Thank you for your question. In a Georgia workers' compensation case, there is no specific amount of money that a knee replacement is worth. First, it depends on whether you are talking about settlement of the whole claim or just specific payment of different types of workers' compensation benefits. In settlement, there are a number of different factors that need to be considered including, but not limited to, whether and for how long the injury keeps someone out of work, what other medical treatment will be needed, and the amount of any workers' compensation checks that are being paid. To get a specific idea of what a particular total knee replacement case would be worth, someone should talk to an attorney specializing in workers' compensation about the specific facts of their particular case.
Very informative. Thanks for sharing, your channel is pure gold.
Glad you think so!
Unreal.
What about NYC. Question: I am on ssd and my lawyer said have to get a search jobs in order to get payments, they don't want to settle my case. I don't want to lose my Disability benefits. What to do? Thank you so much great information and video
Thank you for your question. Are you located in New York? Each state has different workers' compensation laws. It is important to make sure workers' compensation information relates to the state where your workers' compensation case is filed. It would be best to discuss your questions and concerns with the attorney who is representing you.
Thank you. I am in SC but i had 2 workers compensation cases on the head by 2 different employers one in 2022, and the other in 2023. Because the latter accident was the intervening accident i wasnt able to get much settlement from the first one.
Thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear that you had the two injuries. I wish you the best in your recovery.
Can I get a workers comp settlement if I go to work at a different job but have permanent damage due to a head injury I developed double vision and aniscoria from a fall of 20 ft
Thank you for your question. Usually, returning to work at a different job would not prevent you from settling a Georgia workers' compensation case, but it could affect the amount of money that an insurance company is willing to offer in a settlement.
Your content is GOLD. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoy it!
