I heard about this series as a kid in 1971. I've never seen an episode until just now. Ha! I see that I didn't miss much. Tony Curtis was a no talent "pretty boy" and a "has been" by 1971. He ruins this show. He can't act worth beans. Even the filming in France doesn't help this hokey plot.

When Ronnie Barker opens the truck door and almost hits the delivery boy on the bike -- I immediately thought of Granville on Open All Hours and the issues he had on his overloaded bicycle! Travers [the maid] played a great neighbor on Keeping Up Appearances and a librarian in Last of the Summer Wine : Excellent in their craft!

Love Thora Hird ! A lot of these series weren't shown back in the day but YT has made it possible. In the US we have PBS and would get a few Britcoms but not many. Have loved them for decades. TY for uploading this series and in order as well. The actress playing Ivy was also great in 'On the Up' which can no longer be found on YT ... great series as well.

An excellent comedy. Love the chemistry between Thora and Christopher. At 9.58 can't understand how the knife's blade is sticking out instead of in the board!

Enjoyable slapstick frolics

The band and the music were fabulous. One of my favourite comedies. Great writing as well as great acting. When the bed spring goes, auntie Ivy goes and checks the Bromide tin!🤣🤣

I enjoyed watching "The Persuaders" only season. I watched the dubbed version of it in Persian and it was very popular in Iran. Those two (Curtis and Moore) were a great combination with very interesting dialogue.

I think the cast in this comedy was perfect. One of the best series by the great Dick Sharples. Auntie Ivy to the gypsy lady: Sign with us now and we'll throw in the headstone for free🤣

Avis Bunnage was fantastic in this show a very underrated actress

Not as good after they lost the character of Amy Jenkinson, (Avis Bunnage), and replaced her with a cockney?!...in Yorkshire, in the 1920's?!

Humanity has changed so much in the intervening years and not for the better.

Daft, as why would you want to fight in a barn that been set alight, when the opportunity was there to leave?.

A lot of ugly moments.

I love looking at decor and furnishings. My poor gran lived in a flat stuck in the poorest class level of the 40s but I loved it. Lino, gas meter. Filed down half pennies to fake shillings in gas meter, players weights in packets of five for a shilling, bread and dripping or sugar, lovely. No mod cons, outside loo. Later on in 60s, TV you put sixpence in the slot to watch for an hour or so. Scruffy old furniture. So simple and so easy.

Lovely movie! Guess this was Mill’s daughter’s debut.

O good old Percy from Corrie. I had never seen him in anything else. What a character Percy was!

I just wish Sean Connery had done 'Live and Let Die'. Then Roger could have done another 'Persuaders' series.
