Where did you have your surgery are youvvased in London 🎉
Well done!
Oh my gosh such cuteness! What was in the big box? I’m thinking about a hobonichi for next year. Not sure of their layout, but it looks interesting from first glance! Have a great day!
thanks so much, i would highly recommend Hobonichi! Also I store my memo cards and past Hobonichi techos in that box! x
@@ErinLouisee ah! Thank you!
Hi ! Happy to see you !! ❤
So lovely to have you back! I’ve got very similar circumstances! Great to see someone speaking about living with multiple diagnosis’s and having heavier boobs with fibro! 😅
❤❤❤
The shock of the fall is one of my favourite books ever !!
Glad my mum died is a great book. I'll pick up some of the books you mentioned too. Hope the surgery goes well 🙏🏾
Thank you so much 💕🙏🏽
I've just come across your channel based on Hannah's recommendation and I really enjoyed this video 😊 I've added Mad World to my tbr as it sounds brilliant. If you haven't read Run Towards the Danger by Sarah Polley I'd highly recommend it. It's an essay collection that examines child acting, ptsd, memory and chronic pain and it was absolutely brilliant. I hope your surgery goes OK and the recovery isn't too tough!
aw bless hannah for recommending my channel! thanks so much for watching and let me know what you think of mad world if you pick it up! that sounds right up my ally will have to check it out love a good essay collection! surgery is so soon now starting to get nervous ahh thank you xx
So glad to see this upload in my box Erin. Wishing you well as always ❤❤
Ah thank you Hannah!! you too sending my love 💕💕
Yay!! Been hoping to see another video from you 😊 Wishing you the best of luck with the breast reduction. I had one a few years ago for similar reasons ❤
Thanks so much 💕 I’m so excited for the results but nervous for the procedure it’s on Friday ahhh x
You are like an OG person I've been subscribed to and I loovvveee your content. Great to see you back! Love to hear your thoughts on books, would love to hear about games!! ❤
Aw wow thanks for being a longtime subscriber!! So happy to be back 🥰
I’m not sure when I subscribed but I’m glad I did :) I loved the reviews and appreciated the recommendations. As an avid gamer and reader, I’d love to hear you talk more on both. Or anything really, I enjoyed your POV; it’s nice to watch a relatable content creator. Plus you’re very well spoken, nice to listen to. Best of luck on your reduction and can’t wait to see more from you ❤
Aw thank you so much for taking the time to comment and I’m glad you enjoyed! I’m self conscious I sound dumb so that means a lot haha 💕
So so beyond delighted to see you back!!! Love your content and have missed you. I haven’t even watched the video yet as I’m too excited that I just had to comment first 🤣 sending all the love and well wishes xx
Aw you are the sweetest!! Thanks so much feels good to be back!! Xx
Glad you’re getting better ❤ beach looks beautiful even in the winter!
Thanks!! it’s a beautiful sight all year round 🫶🏽✨
Hey, how are you now?❤
Hey I’m doing a lot better! I do now struggle with ibs due to lack of gallbladder and had recurring gastritis after the surgery but that’s finally gone years later I have to be careful still with my diet but overall now I’m having no more problems in that area anyways 💕
read my books reversing bipolar amazon
Your reading list looks great! So excited for Summer Splash and glad I found your channel through it!
Aw welcome 🙏🏽 thanks for watching x

omg i had never heard of the odyssey but someone on IG read it yesterday for the readathon and hearing you talk about it i’m SO intrigued!

Thank you so much <3
this is so exciting! I am so happy for you and so excited for you to be back :)
also this was such a good TBR! all these books have such gorgeous covers, wowowow what a collection. I've only read dune from this stack, which I loved. It is pretty intense, and there is a lot of detailed world building, but I think it's well worth it! A lot of these are on my list, I can't wait to see what you think of them
@@alexandraramz I love a pretty cover what can I say haha oo i trust you that dunes worth it I'll try give it more of my attention! <3
Fun TBR! Seven Days in June was a great read Tia Williams is great at creating complex and realistic characters :)
Thats good to hear i love complex characters looking forward to reading x
Can’t wait for more content
hey erin, i really appreciate your vulnerability and honesty within this video. take any and all the time you need to care for yourself. looking forward to seeing future uploads from you, maybe! (very much agree with the discomfort of younger versions of yourself existing online - i support your choice.) i want to read transcendent kingdom as well - and my interest is definitely piqued by 'the drugs that changed our minds.'
Hey Ally ah thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment means a lot! Fingers crossed Im hoping to upload in the next few weeks I'm starting to feel more myself and ready to be perceived online haha also If you read them would love to hear your thoughts! lots of love x
transcendent kingdom is incredible! one of my favourites from this year. there are so many layers to it, it deals with; racism, depression, religion vs science, addiction, etc. im sure you'll love it! 🎉🎉
Ah I'm so excited to start it! Need to finish of some of my current reads first I'm reading way too many at once haha xx
So glad you're feeling well and that you're back! It sounds like you've had such a hard year, but we support you!
Aw thank you for the support this comment made my day 🙏🏽✨
glad to hear you’re doing better! i’ve been meaning to pick up klara and the sun for a little while now, i’ve been hearing lots about it and i really liked never let me go so i think i’ll have to buy it next time i’m out!
Thank you 🙏🏽 I know never let me go was so good I have high hopes for klara and the sun but it’s dividing people some people love it some don’t 😅 x
Glad to see you’re back! 🥰
thank you 💓
queen invented reading!
and you invented fashion darling x
So many good books! Excited to hear your reviews xx
Thank you lovely 😘
So happy to have you back

Hi! I’m glad you’re feeling better. What you said about needing to live in the moment and not waiting to be 100% is so true and something i need to remind myself more. I was excited to read The Other Girl but after reading another book that also has a Get Out comp, I’m weary of reading another😅 wait a bookstore that’s also a PUB?!? i hadn’t heard of such a creation before!
Hey thanks so much! yeh I realised i was waiting for things to be better / being too much of a perfectionist about things when there's not enough time on this earth for that haha I haven't started the other black girl yet i will let you know if its worth the hype! Its honestly such a cool concept its a pub but feels like a common room in a good way and big selection of books i love book browsing drunk haha x
Yay! Welcome back :) The book on mixed race reminds me of a project I did in school - def want to read! Do you have any recs on the same topic from an American perspective?
Thanks :) I've read a couple american anthologies/short stories one called half and half and one called mixed i think cant remember how good they where honestly hehe! but i do remember reading a fiction book called from caucasia with love that i loved the main characters are both mixed x
Gallstones are horrible! Had to have a emergency surgery as well for it. Hope you are feeling better.
I’m about to have my lap choley in a few hours and it makes me nervous! I can sympathise with the pain, it is like no other! It wakes me up in the night and I would try to put up with the pain but it doesn’t cut it. I’ve been in and out of ED 3x and got sent home the same day because they weren’t concern of the size of the gallstones I had. A week later, I had a terrible attack after I ate. I was nauseated everyday. I couldn’t eat properly cause of the discomfort on my upper body. I felt like I was being stabbed repeatedly! A few days later, my boyfriend noticed I was having jaundice, my urine was very concentrated almost dark orange and bowel motion was pale colour. Being a nurse myself, I knew something is not right. I went to ED for the last time, they admitted me and I had all of the scans possible- chest xray, MRI, CT scan and ultrasound which all confirmed that I had 2 gallstones that traveled out of my gallbladder and blocked my bile duct... My blood test was THROUGH THE ROOF, like insanely mayhem especially my liver function tests! I had ERCP under IV sedation to get the stones out but unfortunately I developed acute pancreatitis about an hour after the procedure. Man, it was fucking painful. I was bed bound for 2 days. I couldn’t move. I was on PCA Morphine and then Fentanyl. Nurses had to bed wash me which was embarrassing. I’m only 23 years old. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, it was depressing and I couldn’t recover in peace being in a 4-bedded room 😂. Thankfully, my surgeon works for a private hospital that I work for and he’s given me a special treatment in terms of squeezing me in his case list for surgery. I’m his first patient of the day which is a good thing for me too otherwise, I would be waiting 2-3 months to get surgery in public hospital which I wouldn’t be keen on because I was scared of the reoccurring attacks! I have to say, I’m not looking forward to the surgery and also the recovery. I’m worried about all the discomfort and all the lifestyle changes I have to make for the rest of my life 😅. I have already noticed some foods that I used to love that my tummy doesn’t agree anymore. It’s a trial and error as my doctor said. Start off with clear foods, blandest foods ever 😂 then slowly introduce new food bit by bit and see if it reacts or not. Anyway, I’m glad that you are recovering very well. All the best!!!
Do you want attractive beautiful intro
As a fellow dyslexic reader, I'm a new subscriber. Other book tube channels tend to overwhelm me as well. I've never heard of Noughts and Crosses, but the series sounds fascinating.
hi, thank you for subscribing! yes, it can be overwhelming when booktubers read 100s of books a year and there's just no way I can as I'm dyslexic. I might make a video about my experience with reading and dyslexia. seriously read the noughts and crosses series you won't regret it!! x
@@ErinLouisee I'd love a video like that!
I went to see the slay in your lane girls talk live earlier this year at a women’s festival and they are so inspiring and articulate 🤩 girl women other is an all time fav, definitely an instant classic !
I am new here 💞 I'm just swirling around the tube spreading support and good vibes...helping build watchtime hrs and all that jazz ✌🏾 you're really dope!
Thank you so much! x
Hey! Saving this to watch later!
Found you through this tag! Really happy to find another Black British Booktuber & looking forward to your videos. I'm looking forward to getting Love in Colour too, but I'd never heard of black ballads before so thank you for mentioning it. From the little look I've had it looks like something I'd be into - I've added it to my home screen to remind me to check it out. Slightly unrelated, but do read gal-dem too? It's a website focused on journalism for women & non binary women of colour. Definitely along the same lines as black ballads I think ❤️
Aw yay I’m glad you found me! black ballad is amazing so many great articles and events 🙏🏽 I actully love gal-dem 😍 I have a couple of their print magazines and listen to their podcast! Hope you are well 💕
Love this vid, what a great idea 💓
Thank you for tagging me lovely! Those questions are super easy as I mostly only talk about fiction of colour so will get to it soon💕 also, black flamingo is amazing, go for it!
Turning Pages yeh so easy I was struggling what to pick I have so many books by black authors 😂 looking forward to your vid and I def need to pick up a copy of black flamingo 🙏🏽
Hi Erin! I've just found your channel and really like your videos -- I actually also used to live in Cornwall (for uni) and I miss it so much!! I've had Bone on my Kindle for a while so I'm glad to hear that you recommend it! :)
Hi carys thanks for checking out my channel 🥰 aw I went to uni here too for a bit and ended up staying down cus I love it so much! Let me know what you think of bone xx
Hi Erin! I just discovered your channel and I love this video so much. I haven't read Bone yet by Yrsa Daley-Ward by I read her memoir The Terrible last year and loved it and definitely want to check out more of her poetry. Girl, Woman, Other is on my pile of books I want to read before the end of the year and i'm so excited, i've only heard amazing things! The Black Flamingo is wonderful, I read it earlier this year and I'm so glad it's been getting so much love lately. YESSS Noughts and Crosses is so good, I need to reread it soon, it's been years but I really enjoyed the tv show recently.
Lily Eleanor Reads Hi thanks welcome to the channel 🙏🏽 oo I need to check out her memoir! Yes please read girl woman other its one of the best books I’ve read in ages! I hope noughts and crosses tv show gets another series🤞🏽 xx
