No, we're now in Bangkok, Thailand. :) After Marbella we moved to Valencia, too. Happy to share any insight and info - just let us know.
I value the honesty of this video, and letting your kids & partner give their opinions without overriding them. There is a tendency among people to retort “Well if you don’t like it, leave!” Which doesn’t make any sense. To truly love something, you love its positives and hate its negatives. To love its negatives is insanity. That doesn’t exist. Go watch the many travel agency videos if you want unrealistic optimism, only to be unprepared and unpleasantly surprised by the reality of a place. I’ve been living in Spain two years and those negatives are true of any beach city in Andalucia to a degree. So I can corroborate your accuracy. I’m originally from a beach city in the USA and I’m still looking for my ideal place to put down roots here. Your kiddos opinions are useful too :) I wonder what the boy was getting to about “going to all the important…”, maybe festivals? Thank you, your video helps me prioritize Marbella on my list of places to visit.

Is the air humid and stuffy? Besides cockroaches, flies everywhere? Mosquito everywhere?
Yes, the air is very humid! You definitely get quite a lot of mosquitos but only during the summer months. But that's all also based on our experience.
So what’s the work situation as with the house or flat prices down there. Best of luck guys ❤
The local work is very seasonal - due to the nature of the economy that's centered around tourism. However, the real estate sector is quite popular. A lot of expats in Marbella bring their income over from working online. :)
I know it's a disgusting topic but could you speak a little bit about cockroaches situation? Do you get them in this apartment?
We did! And lots of them, in fact. Pest Control visits helped - but maybe we were just unlucky with the property.
@@ElinaEmils Wow, that's actually surprising considering your apartment seems pretty fresh. Hope you got rid of it for good! I'm wondering if like you're saying you were just unlucky or it's more common. Would love to know more (however this subject is disgusting:)
That terrace is worth living for 🤍🔥
Just a little tip for editing: you add dissolve only when there's a big time gap between shots. Otherwise use just a standard cut. So many dissolve cuts make it hard to watch. All the best!

No! Never snows. :)

@@yuwiisathsara8759 It gets cold-ish! You'd definitely feel the cold indoors, as there's no central heating. Madrid gets snow every once in a while, yes. Completely different climate to the coastline. This is a great time to take a look at the weather forecasts for any of these locations as it's pretty much the middle of the winter.

Looking to move marbella as a young family. 28/30/7 year old. Im there next month to scope the area out. Look at urbanizations just outside etc
Good luck! It's certainly going to be easier to find a place the closer you get to September. School usually starts around mid-September.

Yes, the closest airport is anywhere from a 40-60 minute drive depending on which route you take and how bad the traffic is.

Great grocery shopping. I'm from the U.S, live in California. For a $100, I wouldn't even be able to buy half of the groceries you got. Food seems affordable in Spain.
US is definitely more expensive on all fronts - California seems especially crazy! :) You definitely get a good bang for your buck in Spain.
