The Day the Skies Burned: The Fall of the Hindenburg
Once a luxurious way to travel, airships like the Hindenburg offered a floating experience with dining rooms, lounges, and private staterooms, soaring high above the ground. Twice as fast as ocean liners, they promised an extravagant transatlantic journey until the tragic Hindenburg disaster in 1937 shocked the world. Despite its immense size, the Hindenburg's design had many limitations-tiny cabins, shared bathrooms, and high costs made it impractical compared to ocean liners and emerging airplanes. The disaster marked the end of the airship era, as physics and modern technology rendered these giants obsolete.

    A white hole is the theoretical opposite to black holes. If black holes swallow everything, white holes eject everything. So the universe itself could be a white hole

    • @noomaann
      @noomaann 2 дні тому

      The concept of a white hole, as the opposite of a black hole, is fascinating and opens up a lot of interesting ideas about the nature of the universe. While black holes pull in matter and energy, a white hole would theoretically do the opposite by ejecting it all, creating a sort of cosmic balance. Your suggestion that the universe itself could be a white hole is a compelling idea-one that leads us to question the origin of the matter and energy we observe. Some theories even speculate that the Big Bang might have characteristics similar to a white hole, where everything in the universe was "ejected" into existence.

    I think we should give women even MORE cash and prizes for divorce. I mean, why WOULDN'T you want to start a family in an environment where your partner is actively incentivized by the government to shatter the family for a check? I'm sure all those migrants boomers/X'rs imported for cheap labor and guaranteed big-government-votes will totally sustain society.

      Divorce laws and incentives are definitely a complex issue with many opinions on how they impact family dynamics and society. It’s a topic that sparks a lot of debate. What do you think would be a fair way to approach family support and divorce laws to ensure they work for everyone involved? Also, how do you feel about the role that economic policies and migration play in shaping societal changes? @@noomaann That's easy. Get government out of the business entirely. Remove all the cash and prizes from divorce and suddenly men and women are accountable for their life choices again. Don't want to end up a broke single mom? Be more discerning about the men you're with like in the past. Women are responsible for 80% of all divorces. It's not hard to see why when they're literally paid for it. What man with a brain is going to play that game and put their future kids through the trauma of losing their father and home because of a selfish and delusional mother who's just going to drop them in front of a tv/video games until adulthood because she has no interest/time/energy to raise them herself? Most of us millenials grew up this way, so is it really a surprise we're not having kids? As to the migrant issue, I think it speaks for itself through simple supply and demand. An ageing, childless society that's made starting a family prohibitively risky and expensive, combined with a feckless consortium of government and corporate interests wish to supress wages, raise rents, and install a permanent worker class with no autonomy or self determination. It's naked opportunism, undercutting american youth by flooding the job and real estate market with an overwhelming amount of 'competition' so that EVERYONE loses(but older generations that already got theirs).

      @@noomaann 1. the latest coming from Harvard is that people outside Africa are more like evolved Neanderthals than pure Homo sapiens. This stemming from it what was only a few Africans who spread their genetic code and it’s those descendants who make up the majority of the outside white species. First you have to consider how and why those other previous races outside Africa “went extinct” or rather evolved into their modern form we see today with different skin tones and behavioral traits. For west European Neanderthals it was their aversion to mix with other groups and rather keep resources to themselves. We see the decline of the white European population as we speak, globally. (As well as Asian but this could be due to European influence and ideology increasing). What my guess is, for Europeans to survive they require more energy output due it only being a small peninsula, not very hospitable to life for much of the year (we have the Viking raider who are the majority modern Saxon, Frankish and Anglo people who we see today who dominated the last 500 years) but as other “races” have adapted their technology…. We see the natural geographic and thus the natural genetic adaptations to more hospitable environments becoming a huge advantage. Essentially in today’s world. The biggest advantage it to be able to live in as many places as possible while needing as little environmental continuity as possible. Therefore the most adaptive genetics will win out (it’s not the strongest or smartest who survive but those most adaptable to change) Now over time. Considering historically African homo sapien dna has remained the most dominant and persistent I would say that just because of genetics (darker skin usually wins out over lighter during mixing) and current trends (most races being below replacement level already but Africans being above replacement) we should see a blacker and browner world. Now genetically due to less recent genetic bottlenecking (most Europeans or many Asians can trace back to one or a few fairly recent common ancestors) There is more genetic diversity between African groups due to the greater level of divergence between areas leading to different behavioral characteristics and thus abilities. To get to the point. It’s these diverse characteristics that will now for the first time interact with dna from outside Africa that will gradually reduce the percentage of Neanderthal dna making the descendants of white and rapidly decreasing Asian populations more adaptive to different environments due to the re admixture of even more African genes. This combined with the advancements in technology and medicine (much of racism comes from negative ancient interactions with new groups bringing new diseases which is now less of a factor but the epigenetic behavioral traits of seeing the out groups as existential threats still remains) will create a more unified and connected global world in time (if population collapse doesn’t happen before economic integration is complete) With fair and equal distribution and the ability for most humans to survive almost any climate for long periods of time the future of humanity will become more physically resilient and hopefully more peaceful…. Or…. 2. The Neanderthal dna people might choose to never mix with African dna Leading to population collapse And we go back to the either the Middle Ages with maybe a bit more tech and start all this again

  • @tcironbear21

    I am not stressing about this for 2 reasons. 1) The economic system inflicted on us is not compatible with our current population. It needs to come down. Better it come down on it's own than a population crash from environmental collapse 2) This is an evolutionary filter brought on by birth control. Before birth control, our libido made us have kids we were not ready for. As a result a lot of people had kids that should not have kids or when they where not ready for them. And the kids suffered for it. Tying the creation of kids to the desire for kids is probably a net benefit for our species. But given how evolution works, we may end up with widespread allergies to birth control and latex in 100 years instead and penises that break condoms in 1000.. 😂

    • @noomaann
      @noomaann 9 днів тому

      You raise some really interesting points about the economic system and the evolution of human reproduction. It's true that many people feel the current economic model may not be sustainable with the growing population. Do you think there are specific changes or alternatives that could prevent a collapse? What would be an ideal economic system for the future, in your opinion? The connection between birth control and evolution is fascinating. Do you believe birth control is reshaping not just individual lives but entire populations in terms of genetic and social evolution? How do you think society should navigate this balance between personal choice and population sustainability? Your last point about potential allergies and "penises that break condoms" is both humorous and thought-provoking! 😂 Do you think these kinds of extreme evolutionary outcomes are realistic possibilities, or are they more of a fun speculation about the future?

    • @tcironbear21
      @tcironbear21 9 днів тому

      @noomaann I think the declining populations and some moderate reforms might be enough to stave off a collapse. Humans can fall back on geo-engineeeing to save the environment if push comes to shove. I think the ideal economic system would be one be few a notches to the Left of the Embedded Liberalism of post WW2. Denmark is a great starting point. The challenge is capturing the perks of capitalism (which are NOT what the capitalists claim they are), without empowering the capitalists so much that they start using the profits they earned from economic rent seeking to political rent seek. Some types of evolution can happen very quickly. If the genes needed to adapt are already there and the pressure strong enough and rewards on a spectrum, it can happen in handful of generations. The tree moths in Britain are a classic example. It took just a decade for them to turn black when the factory soot turned the trees black. In humans, I think cheap sugar was our last filter. Diabetes is much more common in countries were sugar was recently introduced. In the West, the people most sensitive to sugar died in 1800s. Humans are adapting to the excess sugar in our diet already and probably already a 1/4 of the way through adaption. I think the increase in allergies could happen quickly. The genes and epigenetics are already in place. 4 generations might be ambitious, but by 2124, I would not be surprised if it is common enough that we have signs for latex like we do for peanuts now. The condom breaking penises are an obscure reference to a SMBC comic. I don't know how you can evolve a penis that can break a condom without hurting a woman so much that she wants to stop having sex. So that one was more flippant.

      @@noomaann the trend is that wealthier societies in general have fewer children, which is a starting factor, but they are also more fractured in the sense that work is away from home, internal migration for education/jobs spreads the family out, and a lot of time is spent either working or doing activities outside of the family. And this takes a toll on us humans as we are designed to live in smaller, more tight-knit groups.

    Making children takes time. When you consume your peoples time, you get less children. Additionally, the undermining of the peoples bargaining power on multiple fronts through isolation by community dividing via immigration, media, unaccountable crime, and other tools makes it more difficult to have kids. Warning**TL/DR**Warning FYI, the mmMcDonald’s Monopoly game was around years before 1987. In the Fall of 1981, both my Mom and my older brother each had their own Monopoly game “board” and little stamps they were collecting and sticking to their own boards. Both had been doing this all Summer long and if I remember correctly, the game was ending on November 1 of that year (but I could be wrong). Anyway, both my Mom and my older brother were close to winning $100K. However, I don’t recall the exact street pieces they needed, just that they were both only two tickets away from winning, and they were both missing the exact same pieces. Lo and behold, my Mom comes home one day with one of the pieces that she needs but doesn’t tell anyone about it, she just opened the pantry closet door and scotch-taped the game piece to its appropriate place on her Monopoly game board (these were the kind you had to lick to get them to stick, but she didn’t like doing that), and then shut the pantry door and went about her day as usual. But then, go figure, of all the goddamn “slap in the face” kinda moments that could happen, HAPPENS: My older brother gets one of the last two pieces he needs-while he’s eating lunch at McDonald’s on a day that he’s decided to skip school. Bear in mind he’s a Senior and already 18, because he turned 18 during his Junior year. The reason for that being he was held back to repeat 2nd grade for missing too much school (almost 3 months) because he’d been suffering from pneumonia and nearly died. So, where’s the “slap in the face”? Here it comes… Unbeknownst to all parties involved, my older brother, the worst excuse for an older brother who has ever walked God’s green earth, well, that SOB had found the game piece that my Mom taped up on her Monopoly game board on the back of the pantry door in the kitchen. And wouldn’t you fucking know it-the piece from the pantry door was the other one that he needed to complete his game board and claim the $100,000 2nd place prize. And that’s exactly what he did. His friend that had he skipped school with drove all the way from the city back to our house (35-40 minutes drive), where they parked up the street and waited for my Mom to leave for work (she was a nurse, but retired now). As soon as she left the house and turned down the street heading the opposite direction from where they were parked, these two miscreants made a break for it. They dashed inside the house, went straight to the kitchen, opened the pantry door and removed the game piece from my Mom’s Monopoly board, (probably giggling like little school girls all the while), and then bolted outta there ASAP, but not before my older brother ran upstairs to his bedroom to grab a few last personal possessions, a few bits of clothing and shoes as well, and then he and his partner in crime were off. They returned immediately to the McDonald’s where they were eating earlier and my older brother informed him that he’d collected all 5 or 6 (don’t ask, I don’t remember how many) game pieces he needed to win the $100K. The manager asked to see everything, so he showed it to him but never let the manager actually take it out of his hands because he said the guy looked “very shady” for a fast food manager. Okay, whatever that’s about. In the end, my greedy SOB brother got his money, approximately $68,000 after taxes. He never went back home again after that day (not that I cared) but at least his friend that drove him around on that day got a brand new car for his troubles. But my Mom? My poor Mom got nothing but a migraine trying to find her missing game piece, which she swore must’ve fallen off her game board into the floor vent below. 🤷🏼‍♂️
