Thank you that was very helpful not just for me but for the environment.
Thank-You :0)
Does baking soda end up killing the grass and plants and hedge too?
And your racking away needed ground material for your lawn.
I used to do carpet cleaning. We had a rake for the carpet. Pull out all the disgusting dog hair and such
Mannnn, i want one
Enjoy your 12 hours of raking.
It is the best by the way I’m Nick your baby😮🎉
First, EVERYTHING is made up of "chemicals," including BAKING SODA, which is "calcium bicarbonate," i.e., CACO2 <--CHEMICAL formula for CA "one calcium atom" and CO2 "bicarbonate (2 carbon atoms)." Second, CACO2 is a BUFFER. It causes both basic substances and acids to NEUTRALIZE. omfg get a BASIC education.
thanks for the video 😊
Augh‼️ I’m old & not good with internet. Is there another source?
😅😅😅😅😅 lol the best video I have seen in ages. This is not how to put baking soda in a bottle video !!
useless WORK
I have some green just starting on roof. Do you think this would work?.
Used mine twice dethatcher works good. I switched to the scarifier was going good till I hit a rock, it broke the gear on the end of the motor, which is not replaceable now it's going in the dumpster.
?????
i put it down,its working
👌👌👌👌👌
Really like how you can change out individual tines as they become damaged. All rakes should w like this.
Totally agree
My grandmother’s maiden name was Thatcher. I wonder… or was she from a long line of roofers?
Dethatching spray will make that easier
A regular rake can do better. It's all in the angle you hold it. That is the incorrect angle, more like 10:30 11 o'clock.
I do, just yesterday I checked on my monsoon bulbs growing up and found aphids all over my rain lilies!! Just trying to get rid of it now
Hopefully you have better luck than me!
And 14 days later, I’m done.
Thanks for the video. BUT now Frost Dates are under WEATHER NOT GARDENING under the Hamburger Menu icon in case anyone was having difficulty finding Frost dates. First Fall Frost date for my area is October 23, 2024. 😁
Extraordinary
Ummmmmm if you leave it on it will decompose after it protects helps hold moisture. Compost enriches the soil unlike the rake which enriches the hardware store
I like to go a little more aggressive with the scarifier before overseeding, helps get it down a little further. Then cover lightly in peat moss and keep it moist. Boom...fairway thick come Spring lol.
Big fan of the peat moss method. I use this in my own yard and posted a video doing this at my neighbors. It’s never let me down
I WANT
Our first watermelon looked like that. It was not tasty at all. Hopefully next year!
My yard is two acres I’m not doing that
This works for spot repair. For larger areas I use an electric dethatcher. If I’m doing the entire yard, I use a tow behind dethatcher.
You could get really yummy watermelon juice from them. You can even juice the rind or blend it then strain the juice out!
I could use some of that thatching
As an watermelon expert I can say is better for compost 😅
Yes, why wouldn’t you try it? Probably tastes fine. Next year, just be sure to enrich the soil and water A LOT!
It was slimy so I didn’t want to try it. However I had a few others that got eaten by a baby rabbit that was going in and out of the fence. Gotta sure that up next year
Why would you not eat that?
It was slimy on the inside
Bien bueno!!😊
I have 3 acres..... you got something i can attatch to my commercial mower? No? FIGURES!
Sounds like you need a tow behind dethatcher or if you’re cruising with your zero turn Brinly, Agri-Fab and others make front mounted dethatchers
Like a pet. The undercoat has to be pulled out. Lol.
Lol. Exactly. Great analogy!
It's like getting the undercoat of a dog
5 minutes of this and I’m exhausted!
Then you have bigger problems than need to addressed than plan care 😂
@@MMAArborist No doubt. Not everyone has the same stamina, it probably doesn’t help that I try going a mile a minute either!
Same here 5 minutes of that? And I’m ready for either a respirator mask /oxygen concentrator or a gallon of water to drink. Followed by a brown paper bag for me to breathe out of. lol
@@mode.or.culture Absolutely! I’m not in the best shape but I don’t think I’m in the worst shape by any means it’s just a very strenuous activity, especially the back and forth motion consistently battling the resistance raking up dead material.
What can u get me one of those
I have two of them and they are AWESOME.
Was macht das schneidest du damit das Graz
Did that on my standard 9000 square ft lawn. I thought I was going to die. Now I hire someone.
Ha! I use this for small areas. I have a SunJoe electric dethatcher for larger areas. Cleanup is a pain unless you have a bagger
@@BackyardLawnandGarden Nice. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

You just removed the food for the soil
Here we have a lovely example of someone with way too much time on their hands, resorting to complaining about mindless things for attention 🔥
No wonder we all have microplastics in us.
For thicker grass I prefer my bow rake but for the thinner stuff then the groundskeeper is my go to.
Sooo satisfying! 😊
