I need a hammer drill for my rocky property. Maybe it will be a Milwaukee ;)
In another video i saw you said you didn't want a trailer built to heavy. Heavy probably wouldn't bend
I do not have a CDL so was looking for the heaviest that would work and give me payload I needed. Yeah obviously wasn't this one. Going to check out a Diamond C
Problem with those trailers looks like to much tail behind the axiles
yes especially with the 22 footer
Same kind of comment .. if that blade weight is say 800lbs only 400lbs would be on the end as the tractor takes half the weight in span. so two average guys standing on it...!!!
That little bit of weight should not have bent the trailer unless there was a structural issue. Most trailers have a slight amount of flex in frame allowing it to bend under load without compromising its integrity is how it was explained to me.
Is it 14K GVWR....if so your probably at its gross...I'm sure your EX weight is dry
@@JonCook-w8b My payload is a lot more than what my machine weighs. That is not the issue. I am below the payload with my machine weight.
I'm buying a Diamond C later on this month, buy once, cry once.
Yes . That is a awesome way to put it .
I'm planning on getting a trailer this year. Glad I'm not getting Rice or a tilt deck.
I believe my next is going to be a Diamond C with traditional pull up ramps.
Thank you for never actually showing us how to this.
@rondarling6255 Hello Ron. It wasn't meant to be an instructional video, but I did an update using it on 11/4/24. Thanks for watching!
Wow, I was thinking about picking up a RICE this year to add to the fleet but now I’ll stick with another Moritz tilt deck for sure.
Yes, you should definitely stick with Moritz. We have Diamond C trailers that seem to have a good name in my area they are more money. But after this I believe it will be money well spent.
I can relate for sure it happens a lot know
I will give u two 20.00 s for it.
I believe the muffler rusted as a result of the perforated heat shield that sits above it. Toro used both a perforated heat shield (one with many oval shaped holes in it) and a solid version. For some reason, both versions were used on the Power Clear 180, 418 and 518 models. Both shield versions have a tendency to rust, as snow sits on them and melts from the heat and the resulting moisture just sits there. The 4 both heads almost always start to rust first, as they are somewhat recessed in the shield and hold moisture easier. The perforated version of the heat shield allows for snow/water to drip down onto the muffler rust it. Toro should have stopped using the perforated version after trying it on the Power Clear 180. For anyone owning one of these 18" Toro's, take the shield off every now and then, clean it, wire brush or sand if necessary, and paint it with rust resistant or heat resistant paint. Then you will get a long life out of them!
Good to know. Mine also sadly gets a lot of road salt from being on back of my truck all winter near my sander. I do wash it off when I wash my truck. Thanks for the info was something I never knew about their exhaust shields
Toro is the snow king imo good simple designs that make sense when you work on them. I can still buy parts for my late 90s 2 stage toros they are bullet proof just belts an oil changes
I got my 1st toro like 12 years ago and have not bought any brand but toro since lol.. I have 2 blowers now an 1 lawn mower i work on all my own stuff toro has the best engineering ive worked on the parts are stout and designs make sense. I have an older 824xl blower 2 stage thing will remove any storm like butter 👍
my oldest toro item is a 1984 power lawn aerator that was built to last still runs great
Turned out to be a big job... I think that rock wall looks great, the stone fill tied it all in... Have a great weekend Alden.
You're lucky... we have had snow for 4 weeks here in northern Alberta Canada :/
Wow, that's crazy. I think it's here to stay now in NH, we got another inch or two today and it's been staying cold.
Just bought one to use on 6 driveways this season. Looking forward to it
I have had excellent luck with mine. You will like it I believe.
Thanks for the great video man. Looking forward to the plowing season. Did it snow up there yesterday?
Yes, we got 3 inches here. Enjoyed plowing all except for my dirt road lol it wasn't quite frozen
Great video, I like this style and content. Good topics too.
Thanks!
great video! being 25 and been doing business since I was 13 started out with a push mower with no help it is definitely a very very very slow process and does not come over night! great video agin keep them coming love them all!
@@ericbosley5754 building up on your own gives you a sense of pride to always look back on and see how far you have come. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Please explain how to use the tool lol
I did a new video on 11/4/24 showing me using it.
Subscribed!
I’ve had mine for years. Definitely chews through batteries in cold weather.
Great review, thank you!
Thanks!
Heavy duty....nice m18
@anuaruddinbinmohdali6362 Yes, it seems to be. I did a comparison of this and DeWalt's price wise competitor if you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/r_ZMH3hyO_I/v-deo.htmlsi=lHfvdsABwSGMvQ35
I feel the same Alden, I would definitely use that wood.
I'm glad, I don't understand wasting good wood just because the diameter is on the smaller side.
UPDATE: Still using this tool over a year later with no issues. (11/4/24)
Nice!
Just called my local auto parts store, they told me $72 for that bottle of machine polish….. ouch
I have been ordering off Amazon. I believe it averaged around $45
I would love to have a mini excavator, but my BX23s is able to do what I need... Still want a mini ex though lol
lol if money wasn't an object I would want one of everything Kubota makes
Great video as always. I agree with you on your thoughts about smaller equipment and such. It's not the machines, it's how you use what you have to get the job done. I think to many owners'/operators/ want to be landscapers correlate the size, type, year etc... of their equipment to the success of their business. Then they get sucked into the trap of spending money they haven't earned yet to buy things that they probably could have lived without. Just because you're a good landscaper that you must also be a good businessman ( just like you said). I look forward to the upcoming videos you mentioned I am very interested in your thoughts. And taking a Friday to screen material may not put the coins in the piggy bank but it does put some coins in the mental bank so it's not a waste of your time. At least that's how I look at it.
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. Glad to see others thinking this same way. Thanks for watching!
How does it handle the mx 6000 and is the trailer long enough with brush hog and mx 6000
It handles it excellent, and the tilt deck gives plenty of room for implements. the way it is designed there is a lot of deck after the rear axles.
try a silky katanaboy. takes up less space, no batteries, just as fast
Just looked it up. Definitely looks like a cool tool to have.
Wow I just looked it up it's actually a usable alternative to a chainsaw very cool
just as fast? you're dreaming
@@demetrius8594 once you learn the technique, youll be a believer
looks good, i'm glad I got the backhoe, I use it a lot.
I bet. I really want one in the future.
Can you add a saw attachment to the 525L ?
@@JayD_113 yes Husqvarna sells a blade kit for end . Last I checked they were on back order at my local dealers
I bought a new Time Cutter 3 weeks ago. 50" deck.....$3900 out the door. Mowed 3 acres 3 times now and it's doing a great job. so far I am pleased with it.
@@williammaitland216 good price. Glad you are having good luck with it.
Thank you
I've been running this trimmer for the last two season's! This year, it run's better? Good fuel, new Plug's, and just giving a crap! This trimmer is the Best Trimmer I ever had!
I have only ever had issues with one unit, I am still running some that are 7 years old. I just bought a new 330 LK for light brush work and it kicks ass
Great review, everything we need to know, certainly helps us make a decision for this snow season
@@AdamSmith-uv6kr glad you found this review helpful. Thanks for watching!
I enjoy watching how its done videos, they are soothing and it's fun to see the transformation.
these are my favorite videos to make as well. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making this review. I’m up in MA and looking at a Rice trailer for sale in NH. I couldn’t find much info on them, this was helpful!
Glad this was helpful. I ran into the same problem when I bought my first Rice trailer a few years back. That's why I did this review. This is my second one and my Buddy bought my old one. He is still having good luck with it. Still no issues so far with either trailer. Thanks for watching!
Great review. Thanks
@@terrymcgillicuddy8056 Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
What a cool idea 💡 ❤
Use the canned 94 octane premix husky gas and expect zero problems.
I will try it. Thanks
Straight and to the point! Great video!
@@bradleytalbot8618 Thanks, Glad you liked it! I'm still using this machine just about everyday and have had no issues so far. Great machine!
This hits home i pump portable toilets 😂😂😂😂 and some of them get pretty raw lmao but worst ive done is a amish 70 gallon tank an they fill it to the brim so you know they dragging dem nuts throught the shit everyday till we show up for their scheduled pump out
@@rooster72886 I hauled this manure on a humid and 90° day. It smelt EXTRA strong! I can imagine those portable toilets are the same way. Keep on pumping on! 💩
Animal manure is not near as bad as people manure 😂
@@darebear2438 Oh, I know! I've been around enough tanks getting pumped to know that! Not pleasant. I meant the humidity and heat must be the same with making the smell stronger.
@@aldenslandscaping Oh yeah, it definitely adds to the must 😂 but I’m not jealous of the original commenter cleaning porta potties. Those things get rank in the summer!
@@aldenslandscaping oh ya we're in the Midwest in the middle of a heat wave 85 plus days an the humidity outdoor work folks gotta stay extra hydrated right now but yes sir we keep on pu.ping and dumping but some days I think about hauling cow manure and think if only that paid as well as this but I'm happy where I'm at separates the men from the boys lol
Very beautiful!
@@jayanthiramakrishnan5130 Thank you!
Liking that new Griffin dump? Any pros cons first impressions so far?
I am really liking it so far. Only con is the ramps are long so very heavy they are built real nice though. I am glad I went with the 6 wide instead of 7 especially when backing around on some camp roads.
How does this trailer tow empty? The one I currently have is terrible with nothing on it
Mine tracks real well. Does not bounce at all afterI adjusted the hitch up.
You do some nice work :)
