that is what happens when you scare people week in and week out with BEMA false doctrine of works (aka service) for rewards taught constantly in all rightly dividing fellowships. If you don't perform good enough what ever is defined by the teacher , you will still be saved but you will miss your reward totally ignoring what Paul said. There is no other judgement seat but the great white throne judgement. We are already judged righteous, 2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Col. 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. When we come to God by the grace of God through faith he makes us alive spiritually who were once dead in trespasses and sin. God delivers us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of his son. That's just the beginning our conversion our Ephesians2:8 salvation event. Everyone who has been converted has this salvation event in their past and cannot lose an event. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's also a salvation event and hasn't happened yet it's in our future our final salvation event. That's why it not only matters if we believe remain faithful to Christ. It also matters how we live our walk our righteousness now in this lifetime. Has nothing to do with keeping Torah laws or working for anything. After our conversion salvation event we abide in the doctrine of Christ. And this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life....whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son.....eternal life is in Christ not in ourselves. As long as we abide in the doctrine of Christ we have life in Christ now. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's when we are resurrected unto life and have life in ourselves like Christ....for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order Christ the firstfruits afterwards those who are Christ at his coming....and as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation....many can only see the beginning our conversion salvation event but cannot see the end when Christ returns judgement our final salvation event. Salvation is an event like your birthday not a possession and eternal life is a possession that we actually receive when we are resurrected unto life when Christ returns....marvel not at this for the hour is coming in which all who are in the Graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation.....Jesus said everyone in his kingdom now will not enter the kingdom of God in the end when Christ returns, our final salvation event....the son of man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear....many can't hear understand, they cannot see the kingdom of God or scripture pertaining to entering the kingdom of God in the end......everyone will face judgement when Christ returns according to their own faith together with their actions how they have lived not just faith alone......

1Jo:5:11: “...And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” - (Isa:51:6: SHALL/MUST) The record God gave of his Son teaches Eternal Life, and because it is for ever, this means you can’t lose your salvation! Eternal Life teaches you Salvation is not by works. Cos, if you believe you can lose your salvation, it leads to a works state of mind, because automatically the question becomes, Well, what can you do to lose it? Any response you give will condemn you. Teaching you your work is not added.

Eternal Security = Eternal Life It's easy enough to look up the words.

I happened to find myself in a group of believers years ago who believed that they could cast out the devils influence from a person and one night they were praying in our group this very thing. The person in our group they were "praying over" was an angry, bipolar woman and they thought this was what the bible taught them to do. One week later the angry woman murdered her sister, stabbing her repeatedly with a knife. Like you said, this is not how we are taught by our Apostle Paul to handle this kind of thing.
