Music Salon – Give It To Ya: The genre-smashing music of Pantayo
Pantayo is an ensemble of queer Filipinx kulintang gong punks based in Toronto, who combine traditional Kulintang music from the Philippines with modern styles like pop, R&B, and punk.
Join us for an evening of music and conversation with this unique group of contemporary musicians. They will demonstrate their traditional instruments, perform some of their current music, and talk about their process as a band, their philosophy and values, and their new teaching platform called Kuliversity.
Pantayo’s music is not only a reflection of their cultural heritage but also a testament to the creativity and diversity of the Canadian music landscape. The members of Pantayo include Eirene Cloma, Michelle Cruz, Joanna Delos Reyes, Kat Estacio, and Katrin Estacio.

    I do not understand why DOJ has not sued Trump and his unlawful campaign tactics, on behalf of The People??? As usual, he broke almost every rule in the election campaign rule book! He lied, cheated, stole donations for personal use, threatened us, and has already broken the campaign promises he campaigned on!!! DOJ HAS LET US DOWN!!!

    Mr Snyder, will you please talk to our new govt politicians about this, please?? 😊Pretty Please, with sugar on top??❤❤😊 I have a strong feeling the next 4 years will be more of the same as his 1st time. He will get no work done properly, his cabinet will be replaced over and over due to personal drama and repubs will do no work again for 4 years.

    Donald ‘Spectacle’ Trump will not walk out into the middle of main street america and shoot anybody he wants to with impunity because he knows he would not get away with it. But he got you all to see the spectacle. I don’t think the audience is actually listening… I don’t think the pain is either.

    A bad president? The border was secure, and the economy was great before the pandemic. He would have been reelected if not because of the pandemic. The economy is so bad now because ironically of the inflation reduction act that injected more money into the economy and boosted demand without increasing supply.

      Those two groups have loyalty to America not Ukraine. You should understand the country Ukraine prior to 2022 Ukraine was not on the to do list. And that media blitz that over the top pro Ukraine propaganda genuinely distorted facts for people who support Ukraine and people who don’t care the people who don’t care outweigh those who do the Democratic Party did not run on prioritizing Ukraine over Americans. The Republican party did not run on prioritizing Ukraine over Americans. this gentleman is part of the immigrant crowd of Ukrainians came to America probably early 1900s and with a lot of people don’t like to discuss is Americans of all ethnic background are slowly not liking the dual allegiance that people who come from immigrant backgrounds and proud immigrant background was that a question I asked you, if America was to go to war with a particular country that a particular ethnic group in the country share isn’t upon that ethnic group of Americans to be American first not from the place they came from because one thing the professor forgets to talk about is when people become naturalized citizens swearing that they will go to war with the country that leaving for the new country that they are pledging allegiance to America. Plus to do who helped start the first impeachment trial 2019 against Trump was Ukrainian a proud Ukrainian more than being proud of America. Many Americans don’t forget about that play the role and hurting Trump. And the Republican party.

    The micro analysis does not illuminate the macro reality. America has been lost in the fog of a disinformation war since 2016. Unable tell it's citizens that their President had been installed by a hostile foreign nation, the US stumbled around in that fog hoping to remedy the mortal blow it had received from Putin. Incapable of telling that story, other stories had to be invented to keep the public in a state of hope and belief. Trump fails at dealing with Covid and the 2020 election goes to Joe Biden. Trump generates another layer of fog into which he injects the Big Lie. Half of America now believes it's being "taken over" and Trump uses that lie to create J6. Joe Biden attempts to right the ship of America, but leaves the prosecution of Donald Trump to a weak, ineffectual Justice Department that does not immediately seek to dismantle Trump's power. In this vacuum, Trump regains power and now operates as a shadow leader, undermining and destroying Biden's credibility and authority. The lack of prosecution of Donald Trump appears to the public to be an admission that Trump did nothing wrong. The 2024 re-election of Donald Trump was America committing suicide. America chose a criminal, a Seditionist, a traitor. Until that story is told, America will not be revived, and sooner than any of us can imagine, the scavengers will come to pick her corpse clean.

    I have a business idea for Canadian farmers. It is easy money. This is what I found on the internet. How profitable is bison? An investment today of $100,800 after tax dollars into bred bison could generate a net pretax revenue stream of approximately $24,850 (24.7%) this calendar year and $20,430 (20.3%) per year thereafter. Bison = Native to North America, able to tolerate cold Canadian winter. Massive amount of land in Canada + NO customers = NO income. Canada with international trade = massive amount of land = $$$$. Bison meat = low fat. People in China use it to make beef jerky as snack. High protein, low fat = healthy eating. Beef jerky is very popular in China. They eat beef jerky like Westerners eat potato chips. What I am trying to say is that Canada has a huge potential to be wealthy. There is NO need for continuous job cuts, homelessness, etc.

  • @CommenterIndeed
    @CommenterIndeed 7 місяців тому

    If Canadians cannot live due to job cuts, etc., then blame your politicians. China wants to help Canada = live and let live.

  • @CommenterIndeed

    Canada-China free trade = live and let live. The REAL Chinese who saved the planet earth gets rewarded for his contribution. Cooling down planet earth's temperature and turning deserts green. How much wealth did that create? Yesterday, I bought a bag of grocery. It cost me more than $100.00 CAD. Those food came from rain, plants grow, animal feed on plants -> meat production. So you do the calculation. Having me living in poverty, isn't that a bit unfair?
