What is this seed phrase that keeps your Bitcoin safe?
Thanks a lot - as useful as always. I'd rephrase the title though and make it more straightforward
I'm glad you find it useful! and thanks for the feedback
Maybe stick a ? at the end of your title.
Good idea @lakeside8069. Thanks
Whenever people make a clickbait title like this. I make a mental note to never visit their channel again.
Thanks for your comment. I discuss what's on the title in the video, explaining exactly what's in the title, which is information people should consider when just starting with Bitcoin.
downvoted. clickbait.
In the video I'm explaining exactly what's in the title, which is information people should consider when just starting with Bitcoin.
That’s bad advise you should always store BTC on a hardware wallet period, and keeping BTC on an exchange doesn’t limit supply it means exchanges can lend your BTC out do your research before posting bad advice!
As I say in the video, this is not a popular opinion (more prominent people in the space are starting to think the same) , but it's important for people to consider if they only invest small amount and that's it. Sending a small amount to your hardware wallet, you'll end up with small UTXO that may cost you more to spend it in the future. No doubt that for larger amounts, hardware wallet is the solution.
@ I completely disagree how are you putting a future value on a small amount, how many people have had a small amount that turned into a meaningful amount of BTC in dollar terms over time only to find the exchange went bankcrupt or just rug pulled them and they were left wishing they had used a hardware wallet. Everyone no matter who they are or what BTC value they have should custody their own private key, keeping BTC on exchanges opens up fractional reserve lending of BTC what like many like you fail to understand is the BTC supposedly in a Coinbase wallet may not really be in that wallet they only give you your BTC when you want to cash out and that BTC may well come from someone else’s wallet are you with me on this, hence why if everyone takes their BTC off exchanges those exchanges find it harder to fill orders which they then have to source BTC at higher prices because supply is gone. Don’t get me wrong but many misunderstand the importance for price discovery and leaving BTC in exchange wallets doesn’t help.
We agree that hardware wallet is currently the best solution to self-custody your BTC. As I mentioned, if one's serious about their investment they should invest in their investment security. This includes not just a hardware wallet, but also backups, devices security, estate planning, etc.
clickbait.
100%. I never want to see another video from this guy.
I'm sorry that you think that. I'm explaining what's in the title in the important information in this video that everyone should consider.
title says dont send. videos says do send.
It depends on the amount you are buying. In the video I explain both options and what you should consider.
Thank you .... I'm learning
Happy to be able to help! Make sure to subscribe to be notified about new videos....
I wish that one day I will get some coins
@@tzchibengigi7975 you can start by buying portion of bitcoin. You don't have to buy a whole bitcoin. You can start with 0.01 bitcoin or even less.
non custodial exchanges have the lowest fees. Beginners most likely wont have a cold/hot storage to self custody and use the exchange as thier "bank"
It's true that non-custodial exchanges have the lowest fees, but you need to have more experience to use them. I'm helping beginners to start their Bitcoin journey with the right set up, and then grow from there.
How does one 'Check the Network fees'?
Since the Network Fee is dynamic, you'll need to check it every time you are about to send your Bitcoin. On an exchange, when you select to withdraw Bitcoin, it will display the network fee on the withdraw/transfer details screen. On the other hand, when you send Bitcoin from your wallet to someone else, or to an exchange, the wallet will display the network fee on the send screen. I'll also create a video to show the above.
@@FundamentallyBitcoin Thank you for the quick reply!
My pleasure
@dvancamp6710 I cerated a video answering your question and showing how to check network fees before sending your Bitcoin on few different exchanges and wallets.
Good informational video...Thank you!...By the way, the room you're in is too "live"...hard to understand you...Put some fabric on the walls or a rug...Just a suggestion...🙂
I really appreciate the feedback, thanks! It will help me to create better videos. Yes, I need to improve the sound settings, and the fabric/rug is a good idea. Also, like @Jack-hy1zq mentioned , it might be the background music that makes it hard to understand what I'm saying. I'll create a different version without the background music and post it soon.
Here's a version without the background music. I hope you'll be able to hear me better. Definitely need to improve the "studio". ua-cam.com/video/8L43bduQc-Y/v-deo.html
The music is unessessary and distracting, especially for us beginners.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. I'll create a new version without the background music and release it soon.
Wasn’t bothered til you brought it up. Know I can’t unhear it.😂
Here's a version without the background music. Thanks again for your feedback. ua-cam.com/video/8L43bduQc-Y/v-deo.html
Same here 😂 I created a version without the background distraction here: ua-cam.com/video/8L43bduQc-Y/v-deo.html

I'm happy my examples resonate with you. Take it step by step - Iearn something new every day...
Thank you for explaining this
Glad you liked it!
Nice explanation of the Bitcoin key system! Protecting your digital assets depends on public and private keys. Your Bitcoin can be lost if the private key is compromised, so always keep it safe.
Awesome that you liked the explanation of the keys system in Bitcoin. Let me know if there are any other topics you would like me to talk about.
Hey Joel, I popped into your channel and realised you're a bitcoiner as well. How long have you been in bitcoin?
@@FundamentallyBitcoin "Your breakdown of the keys system really simplifies a complex topic. It's great how understanding private and public keys makes crypto security feel more accessible. Would love to see more content that bridges the gap between beginners and advanced users in crypto!"
The keys system is complex, but most people doesn't need to know the mathematics behind it. Most of us just need to understand the idea behind it and how it's all working in a simplified way.
@@FundamentallyBitcoin Absolutely true. Simplifying the concept for everyday use is what bridges the gap. Understanding how keys secure transactions and ensure privacy is enough for most users-leave the complex math to the developers. Practical knowledge is what drives wider adoption.
Thank you! It’s starting to make more sense now to a technical dinosaur like me 😊
Glad you found it useful. Thank you! That's exactly why I created this channel. If there's anything else you want me to dive into or explain, I'd love to hear from you.
Good work! Thanks!
Thank you @EfratFenigson
Thanks Eyal, for demystifying some of the bitcoin basics.
Pleasure. More demystification coming soon
This was easy to understand… keen to learn more- thanks
You're welcome. More videos to come on different topics
This was very useful. Can you do one about drive wallet vs online wallet?
Thanks. By "drive wallet' do you mean " hardware wallet"? I have a video planned of a comparison between the different types of wallets
@@FundamentallyBitcoin Yeah that's what I mean
Yep, it's on my list
