Defining it as a failure I think is a bit much. Physical media is a failure as time goes on. Exclusives used to be valuable but they have been over saturated and often the quality of the goods given had dropped dramatically. The argument over the cost can’t be argued because it is just cheaper to buy a console. One thing pc has over console is the ability to manipulate more settings and have more control over your actual device

You’re so right! It’s the micro-transactions. They change it up to force you to buy into a game you’ve already bought into. It killed it for me. I got tired of being forced to grind in a game I’ve already done the grind in, or pay to play just to keep up. It’s not even fun anymore. It’s literally life at this point, and I thought we played games to escape that
