Looks great guys. You don't pour that mud, you place it with that low slump.
Making a hopper at ground level, how will the conveyor system be designed?
That would be a question for the engineer that designed the silo. Our equipment was used to pour the concrete is all.
Can you recommend a design engineer for me? @@luraenterprises4792
We cannot.
What is the cost
Call or email us and we can talk more with you.
Here it is August 2023, and they are already repairing the rebuilt spillway due to deteriorating concrete
According to the DWR this is more routine in nature and very minimal in less than 0.1 percent needing maintenance. water.ca.gov/News/Blog/2023/Sep-23/Oroville-Update-9-8-2023
@@luraenterprises4792 This is the same DWR that has been in control of Oroville Dam since it was built. They watched for years as the main Spillway deteriorated and did absolutely nothing to it. I don't believe a f****** word they say.
getting ready to make a viral short out of this, i will tag u😅
Sounds good, we will be looking for it.

Their building a dam? Looks like a spillway to me.
Hello. Yes this is the Oroville Dam spillway. If you search for the 2017 failure of the previous spillway, you should be able to find it.
can i make a piece of content around this, great video
Yes you can and are you going to the World of Concrete next week?
@luraenterprises4792 no sir! Not this year! But I will be back, trying to grow my subscribers some more 1st
What do they do with the slabs they pour after the shows?
I believe they break them up and recycle them
Wow I had to do this on the Long Island Expressway. I dont like road work I like buildings we path and pour. Great NYC views and good energy. :- )
What’s with the dad starter pack sneakers
What song is this
how much is it capacity for holding grain ?
Depends on the silo.
@@luraenterprises4792 can it hold 2500 tones wheat grain and suitable for wheat grain or not ?
if you're looking for one, we suggest you speak to your local contractors or farmers for ideas and specs on silos.
@@luraenterprises4792 Hello! Would you mind if I feature it on UA-cam with a credit?
this looks like a real loser way to pour curb.
I luv the "whites"
Andale!!...pisale!!!😂💯
Hey, here’s a three man crew in Idaho that needs a sponsorship! Lol
All of this is noise. We need to know if they changed the design of the floor of the spillway to be keyed, and the drains below to be place properly. The spillway design allowed water to get under the slabs and the water pressure lifted the slabs. Did they reengineer it or not?
You may already know this at this point, but they did indeed upgrade the design of the spillway considerably. It now has drains under the slab. The slab is anchored to the hillside along with many more new features. It should definitely hold for the next adventure.

This kinda mischaracterized why the dam spillway failed. It was because it was designed poorly and lots of weather. Under normal operation jg conditions that weather would not be a problem. It's because the damn was designed to be on bedrock and the foundations is essentially just dirt.
All you said was that "of course there were other elements to the failure" but it was mostly the bad design.
Completely misleading commentary. The main spillway failed directly because of engineering issues including but not limited to, engineering oversights, engineering blunders, engineering overestimations of the ground, engineering underestimations, engineering miscalculations - what else? Oh yeah, ridiculously poor maintenance verging on neglect and hubris made far worse because they had worked out least two decades ago that it was all going to turn to crap in the case of a big rain. In short almost exclusively when a *uckup occurs humans blame Mother Nature when all 'Mother Nature' was doing was showing up a combination of human factors with a bit of unusual weather. Our capacity for denial knows no bounds. This was one of those incidents that was entirely preventable - not a bit preventable but entirely preventable. If it wasn't so serious you'd have to laugh at the commentary wouldn't you? Heavens, one wonder what other infrastructure time bombs are there ...
Came here for this comment.
Yup. The narration scooted quickly past those facts. That spillway was a collapse waiting to happen. Makes you wonder about the dam itself. 🤔
That kid is the worst raker I've ever seen!
Its it's more like 3 ..a good pump operator can make your the day easy or can really mess it up

how much concrete was used for the footing?
No music please
I wanted to see them stitch it up to the very end.
Slump that at 8 and it’ll make it 5x easier to finish
How tf ya gonna get it to hold that slope with an 8" slump?
The last man has to do very little work
You didn't need a support runner? 26' to center right?
Nice job, I've poured a lot of 60' pads and smaller. I think I'd like one of those..
4 inch square tubing screed with a bicycle handle on it too!
Done a 50 with a 3 man crew, mud coming straight out of the chute too.
In the love trimax wark bro
When it is cold outside, more worker isn't too bad in terms of planning.
great
How much did that cost?
Great explanation of the 'Frankenscreed" Thanks! (BTW it was the spillways that failed, the dam is fine).
Schwing from Germany👍
Kiewit did a hell of a fantasic job on the dam spillway repair
Thank You. I was one of the ten "Teamster" mixer drivers on night shift. It was a team effort.
And they recorded the entire event so everyone could see it in real-time. California Water Resources Board also did a fine job. As did Juan Brown in the "Mighty Luscombe."
No condens? Self-compacting concrete? Great job👍
Sweet! What's the maximum length of screed before using the beam supports?
Hello Derick, you will have flat concrete up to 22 feet. After 22 feet we recommend that you use a screed pipe, or in this case a trolley.
Thank the lord for the mute button!
Damn, guy in white haaard at it.
The guy at the top with the roller was more effective than he realised : it should have been twice as active , by putting fresh men in. Very well done though.
AMAZING …..10/10...….
