I'm in Cambridge, it has many historic houses and sidewalks made with brick, so in many areas tree roots are buckling the bricks making the sidewalks difficult to walk on and downright dangerous in the winter. However there is a very robust sidewalk refurbishment program going on right now so sidewalks are being pulled up and flattened out with new concrete it's a very impressive program and you get to see in real time some of those tax dollars going directly to infrastructure. This is a great city, yes it has its problem and it's expensive but comparing Boston to Toronto Canada (were I moved from) Boston wins in every category. Food is cheaper, clothes are cheaper. Boston is the only east coast city I can honestly recommend if you are thinking of leaving Canada but like fall and winter. Come for a visit

It's frustrating how little public transit there is in both Seaport and Waltham. Both areas blew up with commercial buildings near the highway exits and are now so congested with car traffic at all times. Seaport is at least designed to be walkable once you're there, but parking is so expensive. I work in an office park in Waltham, and if you want to get lunch somewhere that's not your office building cafeteria, you have to get on the highway and fight through traffic just to get to an okay lunch spot. I wish there were a development more like Moody Street closer to the office parks.

I have lived in Boston since 1991. Bostonians' lives can be explained in three words: expansive, constant traffic, and an idiot Mayor. If you want to pay $2500 for a tiny studio in a building populated by cockroaches and rats, and besides this, use a poorly managed transportation system and a terrible public school system, then Welcome to Boston.

I live here and didnt know all this was being built lol , are theses smart cities? well people should not worry about wars if there investing in all this. When you mention affordable units what does that mean ? does that mean public or sec 8 or other? how does one apply for those units? Why only biotech ? Surpassed Cali wow. Plus they already did 2 bridges repair over the last 2 summers

I grew up in the Boston area, so I found your content very interesting. The loud noise when changing screens was a little disconcerting. Not sure what you meant by the “Washington Street Corridor”. That could cover a lot of real estate.

It’s driving the people of the cities to move out I was born and raise In east Boston they don’t talk about the the project next to the Suffolks down they sell the city of all these nice things but reality it’s stanks now nobody that moves here has any respect for the locals

What used to take 2mins now takes more than 30 mins to get through MGH/ Mass Eye and ear area. Mass is getting congested beyond belief.
