Generally most Fednav ships look similar. The Federal Yoshino has shorter cranes, an unusual accommodation block and two lifeboats, one on each side. Destination: Chicago Todays chasers were Dan and Emily.

Our first ship after checking out of the hotel on day 3 of our August trip was the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Griffon which we caught proceeding upbound as it crossed the Basin. Todays chasers were Dan and Emily.

First daylight video of the third day of our trip in August 2024. The CSL Niagara had already passed us on the first overnight of our trip, going downbound to Hamilton from Sundusky. On the second day of our August trip in 2024 the first ship was the Finnborg downbound coming off of Lake Erie into Port Colborne. Wagenborg ships are all sleek and sporty, but the Cruise ships make her look tiny! Our last ship during daylight of August 29 was the always attractive Ivor Bright entering Lock 1 Destination: Detroit Todays chasers were Dan and Emily.

Its nearing the end of the first day of our 3 day trip back in August 2024 when we catch the Tim S. Dool leaving Lock 2 and passing the downbound Algoma Conveyor. We get treated to dueling ships horns as they salute each other. Origin: Hamilton Destination: Thunder Bay Todays chasers were Dan and Emily.

We catch the relatively new (2024) Fednav Ship Federal Ohio upbound headed towards the NiagaraPort facility located in Thorold as she crossed the basin between Locks 6 and 7. We also see some of the unloading procedure. Todays chasers were Dan and Emily.
