A big dusky shark shows up and tries to eat our Mahi catch! Catching mahi is always fun and exciting! We later had some mahi for dinner as fish tacos! What do you do to earn an income ? The keys are only available for millionaires, today home prices. 40’ boat on top of that, just curious. I only make 235k a year and retired. Wanted to retire down there but to expensive. Cheers from the poor side of town.

Yeah that’s one downfall of the boat is the fuel capacity.
Bucket list trip, grew up in the keys run over to Bahamas but somehow never done this trip. Gotta do this trip one day

why didn't you refuel at key west?
So the fuel bladder took up a lot of space and if we filled up in Key West then we wouldn’t have been able to completely empty the bladder and stow it away. We couldn’t leave it on deck because that part of the boat wouldn’t have been usable. And Key West is only like 30 miles away from us so it still didn’t give us enough fuel.
Looks like a blast
We spent a month on the Great Loop with our Jeanneau 895 and had one day with absolutely perfect conditions. We covered over 200 miles in 7 hours at an average of 29MPH. No fuel problems that day. What a great boat and a nice adventure for you two.
We would love to do the Great Loop some day. That sounds awesome! And we hit rough conditions after the Marquesas so our fuel economy didn’t do well after that. Better conditions always make your gas money go further too lol

You might want to look into that a little more. For real i used to believe all that stuff in 2004 when they said the ice Caps will be melted by 2013 . i’m not saying it’s not happening. All I’m saying is all their predictions are wrong, notoriously wrong. Like scary wrong. One of the biggest was the polar bears were all gonna die at the population is up 20% along with the ice caps being up 18%.. every year they say it’s the hottest year ever. Watching in time CNN was lying about a heat front in Florida. I’m looking at my temperature outside. It’s 80 saying they,are saying it’s 92 in the exact spot I’m in. Yikes

Two things.. MAJOR No No's. First, you are forbidden to use drones in the park. They're worried about you scaring the stupid birds. There are signs on the dock telling you "NO DRONES". Second, you are trying to hand feed a lobster to the jewfish. Lobsters are protected year round in the park. Don't be surprised if you are contacted by law enforcement.
