Warning! The dark side of HomeExchange! One week before my arrival date, my host cancelled my reservation for no valid reason. I had purposely booked something within the city limits of Stockholm, because all my engagements were in the city limits. HomeExchange then sent out inquiries (after I had written to them 5 times) to other properties around Stockholm and got 1 possible answer. The only problem was that this property was over 30 km (19 miles) outside of the city limits, where I would have to travel by public transportation more than 1 hour to get there. I would also have to travel through some very unsafe neighborhoods to arrive at this location. Travelling through these neighborhoods at night is very unsafe, especially if you are a single woman, so naturally I could not accept this arrangement. HomeExchange then informed me that they had offered me a place and I did not accept, and therefore they were not going to reimburse me for hotel expenses. This is the truth and people need to know the truth. HomeExchange hides behind their corporate fine print, saying they have the right to find another exchange location that is within 50 km (31 miles) from the original reservation. It is all fine and dandy until your host cancels, then you are on your own, this the dark side of HomeExchange. I had been a loyal member of HomeExchange for at least 5 years, where I have paid my membership fees on time and had done several successful exchanges, but I am now going to cancel my membership. I have not been treated well.

Be careful with HomeExchange; if something goes wrong and a problem arises, customer support will not help you. I was promised a refund for my membership, but I received nothing, even though all the deadlines have passed! Their support is terrible; they will leave you with the problem and offer no help! Don’t deal with them!😭

He tenido una pésima experiencia en home exchange, aparte de que no tienen ningún tipo de garantía si alguien daña tu casa, (se lavan las manos de todo) tienen el peor servicio al cliente que he experimentando, de verdad en lugar de ayudar afectan más las situaciones. Aparte son injustos y te amenazan con quitarte puntos sin justificación alguna. Pésimo.

Please avoid at all costs, customer service is a joke. They can't help in any situation, in fact they just intervene and make everything worse. They are not objective and seem like hormonal interns taking charge of a business.

Não recomendo! Péssimo suporte e atendimento, O app trava muito. Entrei na plataforma, paguei 1 ano de adesão, o que não é barato, Não usufrui ate então e depois de alguns meses me baniram da plataforma, sem nem entrar em contato comigo, apenas através de terceiros. Não deram nem oportunidade de defesa. Não responderam aos meus contatos e nem devolveram meu dinheiro. Fui informado por terceiros que se eu retirasse as reclamações em sites, blogs e Videos eles iriam reavaliar, o que não resultou em nada. Cuidado para não acontecer o mesmo com vocês. E reservam aproximadamente $500 euros do seu cartao como seguro caso acontecer algum incidente. Como não tem endereço no Brasil, nem telefone, fico até com medo dos documentos e o cartão de crédito que foram enviados pra eles.

I couldn't even defend myself, and I was up to date with my annual payments. They didn't respond to my contacts and they didn't even refund my money. I was informed by third parties that if I removed the complaints on websites and blogs they would reevaluate, which resulted in nothing. Be careful not to have the same thing happen to you, simply a lack of care for the member!

Eu não recomendo Home exchange! Pessimo atendimento e suporte, Me retiraram da plataforma, sem nem entrar em contato, Paguei a anuidade mas depois de 4 meses me removeram e não me devolveram o dinheiro, tinha uma troca para ser feita em menos de 5 dias, já estava tudo planejado, e tive um baita prejuizo. Eles ficam com os dados do seu cartão e documentos, eles reservam $500 dólares do seu cartão como seguro caso acontecer algum incidente. Cuidado para não acontecer o mesmo com você, simplesmente falta de cuidado com o integrante!

I don't understand, what if someone has a tiny humble home and it is worth 50GP per night and they let people stay in it one 20 nights = 1,000GB could they then go stay someplace fabulous for 500GP per night for 2 nights?
