I am angry! I drove thru Cearphilly have da dozend times, and did not even know about the statue. Allthough i admired Tommy Cooper from the beginnig! So I didnt stop there. What a pitty! RIP Tommy, but great that there is that statue, who ever sees that could be inspired to notice and love that fellow, enjoy on the one hand and see his sad, much to short live on the other. THX for posting this and thumbs up!

Never knew Cooper was a Taffy. One of the Greatest of all time. Just had to look at him and I howled with laughter.

Tony's a good pal of mine and we've often met up around town [my town's, London] gone for a coffee, a chat and swapped Tommy impressions. I swear if you closed your eyes you'd state under oath you were in the company of the great man himself, Tommy Cooper. A super statue of a very, very funny man.

I heard about Tommy Cooper about two months ago and after seeing his comedy - my god, what a brilliant comedian he was and a great magician as well! He was totally in his own class!

Anthony Hopkins learnt magic for his film of the same name....he’s a huge Cooper fan and I believe he did the overdubbing for the famous Lego advert featuring the elephant and mouse joke as Cooper was unavailable

Nice version. My mum met Mr Campbell...............in our local village bakery (now demolished) of all places back in 1974. My mum was doing the night shift there (while expecting me) and he and his enterage stopped in the village to get a bite to eat and popped in. They must have been doing a gig up in Glasgow. Anyroad they all got free grub and it made my mum's night.

I see buzzards, red kites and kestrels everyday at work around Wiltshire, I can almost guarantee I see a buzzard chillin on a fence post along m4 junc 16-17 waiting for an easy meal :) lovely birds

I was at this farm last week, fantastic. Difficult to capture on video, such an spectacle.

It's sad to see so many unenlightened people. Understandably Hopkins has an afinitey for Cooper being a fellow alcoholic..Maybe this was a gathering of alcoholic idolising one of their own..
