I had same issue what i ended up doing after factory reset was go to the app on the phone and launch a program form it will send it to the controller. then once in to the controller i updated all the software works great now
Now this really helped! I tried scrubbin the terminal with peroxide, alumin foil, and after that i jus needed to pair it and update the firmware. Thank u 🙏🏽
I had the issue aswell and i was upset that my controller was broken and i have to buy a new one. But then i came up with the idea of taking the right controller batterie and putting it into the left one, and it WORKED!! Afterwards i got a new batterie for my right one now i can game again.
mine has been damaged but not too much damaged and it just says 90% battery then just goes blank and when the controller updates it says failed i need help
Ok if u have an android go Uninstaller oculus app then go into settings go to apps click the sort dots then show systems then go down to Bluetooth click it then clear Bluetooth cache reinstall the oculus app and try mine worked after doing this Apple phones should have something similar hope this helps some of u
I have one solution that might work for you. I was having the same problem. First try replacing both batteries with new ones or different batteries then turn your oculus off for 5mins and when you turn it back on move yourself into a different room. I noticed that one of my controllers did not work in my room area anymore so try finding a new spot to play. Keep trying different area until it works again
I had exactly this problem, and no, changing the batteries or the million other idiotic and obviously solutions didn't manage to help me unsurprisingly (from other mostly click-bait videos I mean, this video was excellent at describing the problem). I managed to get it going by doing the following: 1. Factory reset (might not be necessary, can try without to begin with) 2. Once factory reset is done, I removed the batteries from both remotes and waited 2 minutes 3. With the batteries out of the remotes, I reset the Oculus (important, controllers must be completely dead when Oculus reboots). 4. Waited another 2 minutes before putting the batteries back in. 5. Went back into the app and tried to re-pair the left controller (which was unpaired at this time) 6. Now the controller was found and a software update started running on it. 7. Do not touch the left controller. Let the software update finish. Once that was done, the left controller was back. The critical part here it seems is firstly having the batteries out for a while because there seems to be a capacitor or something which keeps the controllers alive for a while even with the batteries out. Second critical part is the reset of the headset and allowing it to boot when there is absolutely no controllers attached.
Thankkkk youuuuuu so muchhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! My left controller stopped working and i didn't know why now i tried what u said (without the factory reset) and it worked my left controller backk thank you very much ❤️🤘🏽😃
i had a quest two for like two monts then the tracking of my right controller stoped working. so my parents changed the quest2 so got another one for free. after 1 month left contoller quit working
Same issue. My left is basically bricked. Won’t do anything and battery percentage is gone from app. It’s like it failed a firmware update or something
im using the stock batteries and my right controller wont work and i tried the battery from the other controller cause it was at 60 precents and it still wont work
ok i figured out what was wrong with it certain batteries don’t work with it so u kinda just have to get lucky and try out batteries in the controller because it would turn on when i put a brand new one in then i grabbed the old one and it started flashing
This last update fixed my left controller. I must've tried 50x and always stopping at 95%. I updated the headset in options and then held x and y during the update, but that might not be anything. I haven't used it for 4 months until today.
I got my quest over the summer, it stopped working a week ago and I’ve been trying to find a fix as well. I’m only 12 and I spent all summer saving, this is painful.
Oh my gosh finnaly okay I think I have found a solution so my controller did the same thing the light would go off but wouldn't pair I tried like 20 times and what ended up doing take out the battery half way with the top in and bottom out hold down those buttons as it's paring and push the bottom back in while holding the buttons and my controller vibrated and connected
Something like this happened to me because it wouldn’t do anything at all and it was a problem with the battery capsule so I fixed it by putting a piece of tin foil on the top of the battery and it fixed and so far after 3 months no problems

All I had to do to fix it was clean the metal piece that was touching the battery
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM MAKE A TINY ALUMINUM FOIL BALL THEN PUT IT WHERE THE NIPPLE OF THE BATTERY NEEDS TO GO THEN PUT THE BATTERY IN
Positive side !! Worked for me!!
@@elliottaguirre1133 not me. bulllllll
ive had the issue but i just restarted my headset and it worked again
This should be a lawsuit. My left controller died after a month.
Same but with my right cant even connect them anymore
this is also the same for me but with no pulses at all...
replace the batteries with Duracell and if that doesn’t work you might need to buy a new controller.
