    Oy vay! No dis, but I refuse to ever own one of those. I have a beautiful 65-2 that's tuned to handle anything you put in it, with all of the pride, and craftsmanship expected. That top strap is just unacceptable. They actually offset the freaking rear sight!? That's just terrible. My heart goes out to you man.

    Pardon my question, i’m new to guns. While reloading isn’t the cylinder hot to touch after shooting all the previous rounds. Would it burn the right hand?

    • @KatoCoyoteCombatWorkshop
      @KatoCoyoteCombatWorkshop 2 місяці тому

      The cylinder does build up heat but not very quickly. The forcing cone on the other hand will get hot fast, which is why you must FIRMLY grasp the cylinder to krep your fingers off of it. This will only be a concern with prolonged range use.

    They make carriers that put half of the rounds on one side of your belt and half on the other side. Safariland is the maker i believe. The speedloader straddles your belt and the carrier wraps around it. Its easier to carry multiple revolvers rather than reloads.

    I have owned mine for a few days now without the finish coming off with normal use and playing with while im working, i drive a truck for a living and its been bouncing around hard surfaces and falling onto a grit and dirt covered floor by my feet and still looks new with no damage to the finish. The cap covering the glass breaker was easy enough to take off with one hand using my thumb and finger while holding it and its still a nice and tight fit, as for the teeth i can't see cardbourd or flesh damaging the teeth any and it stands to reason that if drove into a hard surface the finish will wear off some. Personally i find it comfortable to write with and it grips nicely for using as an emergency tool, it may not be indestructible but minor rolling on the teeth can be filed and touched up if need be.

    I like all firearms but like some more than others. I handload for almost all my firearms. I did quit reloading all my rimless pistols because I don't like to chase the brass. Also I do not like the fact the rimless cases of semi's headspace on the case mouth so reloading is more painstaking. If any of my wheelguns misfire I only have to pull the trigger again. If any of my semi autos missfire I have to go into gunsmith mode.

    I’ve never had quality issues with Smith & Wesson. I know many guys don’t care for revolvers, but the 686+ is a wonderful handgun. I guess I’m also kinda weird because I’d want a 5” barrel in this model. A lot lot of guys want to talk about combat and all the tough guy stuff, but we all know that almost everyone is going to go somewhere and plink at something and need to get over yourself!!!

    Hey, great video! This was exactly what I was looking for as I’m new to 1911’s and I’m also a left handed shooter. Question for you, do you know the difference between the ambi thumb safety “tactical lever, bullet proof” item # 192BBP and ambi thumb safety “wide lever, bullet proof” item # 620BP? Clearly the wide lever is more wide than the tactical is. However, do you know if the tactical works just as good for us lefties? Thanks in advance for your help.
