A month before Clapton met Duane and the band in Miami. What an incredibly good interplay between the ABB here. What an amazing band. No wonder Clapton was totally impressed.

I was THERE! Having seen a wonderful rendition of Handel's Messiah in the same 400 year old concert hall the night before, this was a Midnight show that as I recall it played until nearly 3, and then they had encores until 4, every one of which was #1 hit of theirs.

The vhs rip! I was looking for this. I guess most versions are from laser disc

I seen this concert at Anaheim stadium, the same week as i saw Led Zeppelin on the 26th of June for my 18th birthday. The concert that fans started plantings seeds in the outfield. Lol Google it😅

I was 15, a high school freshman in Japan. Didn’t know a thing about this band, Supertramp but mesmerized by them from the beginning of john’s clarinet. It was a beautiful sunny day in May of 1976, must have been a Sunday afternoon. I left Japan to the US 4 years after. Music has been my biggest confidant , always brings me back to when I first heard/saw them in a second. Thanks for uploading this precious show. Been 48 1/2 years, still so vivid and clear and very much alive in my mind.

Loved this concert - I saw it when originally aired on MTV. a long time ago. Hah... This version of "Out of the Business" is still my fave Tubes performance online... I always wondered why Bill Spooner didn't join the the rest of the band for the "Business" intro (there appears to be a roadie standing in his place), only to step out on stage for "Out of the Business" dressed completely different from the rest of the band. I'm guessing it had to do with playing at the "Kabuki Theater" location...?

Dang - how did I not find this until now? I've been looking for a nice recording of early Blue Oyster Cult, and this exceeds any expectations. How/why did BOC get a radio broadcast in '73? Allen's playing is great...
