WOW! I think I might have been racing that day! I was 16 years old and my mom actually brought me out there in the family wagon pulling my RZ 350 in a trailer. (I dumped it that day right in front of those bleachers) What race organization was this? I was racing ARRA.

Used to be a great place. Was called Sunnymead. Now it’s Moreno Valley and it’s a toilet. All the black gangs moved there from LA. It’s all section 8 slums and crime ridden

Raced there from 73 to 79 and seeing this footage brought back some great memories.

Anything that is great in America gets takin away. What shame to see this happening. If look at the air quality now its cleaner because we have a good industry .Its all going away now. Thank you everyone for the memories.

Does anybody remember a motercycle race at Riverside called "The Great Bear Grand Prix" dirt bike race , started on asphalt went to dirt , back to asphalt..

riverside raceway ......corona raceway .....de anza cycle park .....saddleback park .....orange county raceway .......all gone !!!! ...but the memories are for ever !!!! ....just sayin ...:)

My Dad took me to Riverside and Ontario all the time as a kid in the late 70's and early 80's Everything from stock car racing to Superbikes.

Back in the early 70's my dad took me to Riverside Raceway to see the Times Grand Prix, Can-Am car and IROC races. Early 80's I raced enduro karts at Riverside Raceway. Mid 80's I raced the View Finders motorcycle races at Riverside Raceway. It's such a shame that such a historical race track closed down because of land developers.

That initial drive down the flight line gave me a Bone'r!

Some lovely bits of kit there. Reminds me of walking the paddock as a kid at Knochill in the early to mid 80's. Not a big nostalgia freak, but bikes back then had something about them.

Not only did he endanger himself but on coming riders, fellow riders when he passed on the inside of a left hander, completely fu%$^ing the rider he was passing if his idiot maneuver meet an oncoming car/bike/bus/truck/creature... all would have died the guilty and the innocent. So wild to watch. Earl is actually my cousin. My dad was Ted. Dad travelled all over... dragging the military brats with him.
