Kaitlyn, I know it’s been almost half a year since you posted this video, but I just wanted to say that, as a newcomer to your channel, I’ve watched a few of your older videos (ones logging your no-buy year, declutters etc.) along with the newer ones (palette bingo, BYOPs) that introduced me to the channel. It got me thinking about my own experiences with over-buying cosmetics, and the how’s and whys that help me understand my own position, my own behaviors. Very importantly, my own particular weaknesses when shopping for makeup and skincare. That word, Grunge? JUST the word sets me off and makes me want it lol, even if the product itself is just wrong for me. The wrong colors, or something I wouldn't use at all if it didn't have that word on it or inside. The way that cosmetic companies use words and language to sell sell sell is something I struggle with. I’m sure it’s a bit different for everyone, with some overlapping elements and reasons as to how people find themselves shopping as escape, worrying about missing out on a deal, emotional shopping, grief shopping (THIS is a big one for me), etc… This is one of the only channels I’ve stumbled on that has someone speaking frankly about their own experiences with this. And at the same time not, like, going completely in a Shopping Is Wrong, Guys! X-Treem Minimalist ~4 Lyfe~ direction with their content. Thing is, I love makeup and spending time with colors, and palettes and all of the things. I love painting. I love experimenting with new stuff and trying out things to see what I love on me and what I don’t. And I don’t feel like I should be ashamed of it?…Your channel feels like a pretty safe place to discuss stuff and I really do appreciate what you put out, and your honesty with certain things. Thank you for reminding me that it’s totally okay love makeup, and at the same time to have the courage to deal with an addiction/urges and a lot of acquired product in a healthy, authentic way. Thanks for being yourself on UA-cam. It's refreshing.

Please do a part 2 and 3 that way we get to see a lot of the colors

Wow, the finished look is pretty cohesive. The color palette you have to work with here is a little challenging (err, well it is for me lol). I've just started getting back into makeup after not doing it consistently in a very (veeerry) long time, and your channel's content is really helpful for ideas and experimenting. I'm new to your space, but from what I've seen so far, you have an excellent collection of makeup, and I can really tell you've got some solid knowledge on what products are out there, and how to use them. it's really neat to see what you're doing with the given colors. I think you did a wonderful job. Love your creativity, and I would bet you'd be able to make a beautiful look with an even more challenging group of color swatches. Thanks for your content!

Where do u get the madecassoside cream? I use LaRochePosay cica balm that also has madecassoside and I find it really helps with both face and hand skin issues!

I think Shea moisture is for very curly Afro hair or similar, so I've stayed away with my wavy fine limp hair! Maybe if your hair was more porous it would absorb more, but that's good news - means your hair is healthy and not very porous!

For kerstosis pillaris (bumps on skin) try Ameliorate. And moisturise - apparently it's caused by dryness so you need both exfoliation and moisture.

Totally agree with you on everything! 1 minute is ridiculous for a sale/ offer! I never found Sephora sales appealing, every time I google a product sold at Sephora I find it cheaper/ on a better sale elsewhere! So I buy from Sephora very rarely (only online in the UK, except the flagship store in London)

I don't remember if you got the Chucky palette, but I don't, and this one also reminds me of this, but with some lighter tones too, which suits me fine!

Nice look! Let us know about wear time. I agree the lipstick would go more with the darker shades, especially the green and the taupe/mauve one. I like the idea of these eyeliners against darker colours - like the purples on your eyes here. Between the two palettes, which one is your favourite?

Well done for making an effort to use your single eyeshadows! I have much fewer and am so bad at using them I try to not get more.

Gorgeous palette and looks, makes me think of a better version of Blend Bunny - smaller, more curated and with better shimmers! (Bit of a figure of speech, I don't own any Blend Bunny and the mattes may well be better, but to the naked eye 😊). Do you think it will now go viral now because of your video? That would be fun!

OK so far love the green look and the lashes! You could also do the same look with brown outer corner to go with that red base of the shimmer. Reminds me of a single I have from Nabla (I guess it's a common ish shimmer).

Do you mind sharing the price of the palette? Not that I'll get it - I assume it's in the US, plus I'm currently sticking to my half-assed no buy (at least for eyeshadow)
