Well, since this is “one of the weirdest things you’ve ever seen,” I thought I’d reply and put you out of your supposed misery! We explained all of this in the beginning of the video, but we read the autobiography of Steve Kilbey, Something Quite Peculiar, and we were going to ask SK to join us in the discussion (we did ask him, actually) but he wasn’t really on board with it. I loved the “character” of Donnette Thayer and her love story with SK, so I reached out to her on Facebook and found her to be warm, kind and so approachable, so we invited her to join our book club and she agreed. How did she meet SK? It’s in the book. I think we did ask about her long-distance love affair with our questions, but that’s a valid point. Why were we in a noisy restaurant? You may be aware of the pandemic? We couldn’t really all congregate together....user error on our part about background noise and muting. However, we’ve forged a friendship with DT and we're even discussing interviewing another celebrity with Donnette as our Guest Host. Any ideas? I hope this answers your questions. I'll be more specific here about the "weird" comment (maybe I should've used "unusual" so as not to offend LOL..Or no wait it was something quite PECULIAR 😂) So you and the three guys and DT are all Church fans. The young girl started listening after reading but not really a fan. A newbie. The other two ladies seemed clueless to the music and super out of place. I know SK is a very talented writer. I would say though that 99.9% of people reading SK autobiography are going to be hardcore Church fans. I'm a big fan since 1986 before Starfish and I haven't read the book, or the semi authorized biography. It seemed overall the guys were "fanboys" who just wanted to talk Church instead of Donnette. When you kept asking "Are there any other questions?" and there was silence I felt bad for DT as it seemed there wasn't much interest from the other ladies. But honestly if somebody asked me to read an autobiography of somebody i wasnt familiar with i likely would not even read it. 😁 But I must say she's a lovely person and absolutely GORGEOUS woman (no wonder SK was enamored). There were some very good questions asked (mainly yours). Let's just say overall I enjoyed it very much though. My comments were mainly just impressions not really meaning to be all critical. I admire the work you put into it to make it happen too! 🙂

@@chrisknowlton9460 no offense taken at all! This was our first shot at a Roundtable Discussion and Donnette was absolutely incredible to join us. Yes, she is gorgeous! I agree completely. I am a fan of The Church and Strve Kilbey and I discovered Donnette’s music through Steve’s biography. All went well overall. We are hoping to interview another musician with DT as a special guest host. I’m a pharma/medical sales rep so running events is my thing. Glad you enjoyed it!!
