My 16 Genesis isn’t having this problem YET- though my passenger side puddle light is not working -hate to even consider this project. Almost as bad as the license plate lights and headlights.

The sensor is actually inside the wheel hub. It's one round piece. If you search abs sensor hub assembly for 2015 genesis sedan you will see what it looks like.

This happened to me last week after my tire blew out. Mechanic says the sensors and wiring are all intact so just to test it he cleared the codes and it came back after 30 miles of driving.

Check for rust under that rubber weather strip, right at the very back of boot.

I just completed this on my 2016 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 0 - right side. Instructions are the same. Getting the bezel off is a PITA. Saved me a $1,000+. Thank you. I bought two gears and will do the work on the drivers side as a precaution. it is just a matter of time before the drivers side gear has the same issue.

Dealer wants to charge $900 to replace the left bulb. I'll refer to this video to try it myself.

Thanks Caneswag, the instructions were great. Just a couple of comments to help other who watch it, as the instructions for putting in back together were a little less detailed. 1. Don't forget to reattach the red to the crew on the gear housing. 2. Remember to reattach the wire to the turn signal before bolting the motor back in place.

Take neg off bat terminal, turn on lights (to drain any power in capacitors or chips, wait 5 min reconnect battery. Car might idle funny for a short bit as system recalibrates. Should fix

Thank you so much for this video. My abs /aeb light was on, did a diag at the dealer - bought the part from 1A auto and had my mechanic fix it. He replaced the Front left hub assembly. Alert went away 👏👏 no more alerts in dashboard.

I am so grateful for this video - thanks - detailed professional and easy to follow.I just completed the job in under 3 hours - if the passeneger mirror does the same thing, I think I can halve that now I know what to do. The best tip was keeping everything separated, so I knew which screws needed to go back where when putting things back together. I was also quoted $1000 +++ by dealership as I needed a new complete Mirror Housing, apparently!!!!! Thanks again.
