Make sure to check this filter if you ever have bad smells coming through your HVAC system. As you see in the video my filter was much needed for change and found it has been in there for about 7 years! Make sure to change these filters out about every 1-2 years. U think for a s13 hatch I’d only need extended tie rods to have the extended lcas work? Or would the hatch need anything else for it to work
I’d imagine you would only need extended tie rods if you were cutting and welding them yourself. Other than that if you are buying a kit I would check with the maker of the kit to see if you need anything else like the tension rod or if they move the sway bar end link pickup point.
@@BIGHOUSEGARAGE thaanks mane 🙏🙏
This gave me UA-cam 12 years ago vibes and it was epic. Hell yeah dudes
The good ole days
Thanks for watching!
Are these the ipd springs?
Yes
Let’s hear it run bro, don’t be weak man, LETS HEAR IT GET SOME
Still rebuilding it…..soon though
This seems like a setup from the manufacturer ☠️ God forbid you assume the timing mark is the damn timing mark like a normal person haha
I need that. Second mark always.
Rubber duck
Or, just buy a Kia EV6 GT...and lay waste to all...
Hell yeah your back ❤
Where'd you find the info on this? I checked and cant seem to find anything and gave plenty of spare 240 parts.
I mostly found it was possible through old forum posts and the different Cressida Facebook groups. there isn't really any tutorial on it, just some pictures and people saying they did it. there is a guy on instagram that recently did it @johnnie2plates
Please where did you buy it?
Subframe bushings are from xcessive
You asked for input. Wish you had filmed more of the work, maybe time lapse would be cool, but solid video overall! Good job and thank you.
Thank you for the feedback!
i don’t know jack shit about cars man, how did you do it?
How did I learn to work on cars?
Nice and clear, thanks
How did you get the automatic seatbelt out?
There are bolts on the seat belt at the bottom and top. I also disconnected the box under the arm rest and it no longer functions or makes a noise when I get in and out of the car.
Why not using an S14 subframe? Are they too different in size?
I’m using the s13 as that’s kinda what I was able to get. I think* the only major differences between the s13 and s14 is the 14 is about 10mm wider. The s13 is about an inch wider on each side than the cressida if I remember right. But no major different other than that in my research.
Thanks for this - very detailed, but easy to follow! A question: my water pump has just failed big time, (didn't overheat too much luckily) I'm about to inspect, hopefully it's just a hose. But how can you tell if the pump itself is shot and it's not just a gasket? Thanks!
I would start with just an inspection, see if you can see a leak coming from the gasket all around or the weep hole on the pump. If either are leaking, just replace the pump and gasket. It is a cheap part that does a lot for your engine.
Hey thanks for that! I had a look, it's not the radiator hose, so must be a gasket. Looks like it's new pump time.
@@BIGHOUSEGARAGE Thanks again - I finally nailed it (after smooshing the return pipe gasket and having to order replacements).
Ok spoke too soon - coolant leaking out of upper gasket as engine cools down. 2 more tries and I think I've finally got it. My pump design differed from yours in that the studs (with the corresponding oval slots on the pump) coming from the engine were both on the right hand side rather than the top. So it seemed to more about rotating the whole thing anti-clockwise rather than lifting up for a snug fit. There you go! @@BIGHOUSEGARAGE
Is that the excessive pedal? I need to tighten mine up aswell
Yeah, it helps a ton
Wait I have a kia but it has no transmission dip stick or fill port bc I think it's an enclosed transmission so how would I fill it back up after replacing my cv?
Yeah no dipstick on the manual. Not sure about the auto. I had to remove everything above the trans and fill to spec amount
@@BIGHOUSEGARAGE The auto has a dip stick. Use a funnel to fill it. First oil change on my 07 was at 10:30 at night, so just reached under and removed the oil pan plug. what a shock I had that the oil pan is for the transmission. The engine doesn't have one. ooops....... Was very late for work that day waiting for the kia dealer to open so I could find out what transmission fluid it needed. The 09 I will find out tomorrow when I pull the engine and trans out. Didn't have the tie rod removal tool today. Need to find out what 5 speed trans it is so I can order the axle seals. At least they lied about needing to go out the bottom with it. I can winch it out the top, just had to remove the brake master cylinder to clear the back edge of transmission.
hey i love ur videos, i have a cressi mx73 1986, slowly need to be restore and modified step by step. goodluck to ur channel !! 🔥🔥
Thanks you!
Nice job, can you post the document you use on your phone to the descriptions area?
Just posted the website I used to the description
@@BIGHOUSEGARAGE thanks
Yo so I was wondering if you've seen this. I have a 99 sc300 that we swapped with a w58 with tripod. I installed a speed cube quick shifter. The problem is i can't go into first. No matter how hard I push over it only goes into third. 2nd is fine and it drives good. I just can't start in first I have to skip to 2nd then drive like normal. Is this common or just an issue from the instal
Did the trans go into first fine before you had the short shifter. Could be an internal problem in the trans. My reverse was having the same problem after I rebuilt it but just changing the fluid and keeping it topped off cause mine leaks helped me. You could try the forums but sounds like a internal problem. Could be something with the clutch and throw out but you can go into other gears fine so probably not that. Hard to say.
@BIGHOUSEGARAGE I had taken it to a guy that only does trans work but typically he works on truck rebuild stuff. I asked him and he said everything was fine but the trans didn't have a shifter till I got the shortshifter. So he could have been bullshitting. I'll get it out.
Really well done, thanks for posting!
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed the video!
Need more of that JZ build ! 🔥
I’m really trying to get more videos out of both the 2j and s13 subframe soon. Been a broke boy college student with no time lol
Just changed my 2017 Silverado 6.0 plugs for first time because one of them stopped working, the tip was completely gone. Did the wires too. 83k miles. Did the whole job from above, didn’t remove anything but I have custom intake so nothing was in the way. The new plug wires were a pain to get on the coil packs. Used NGKs.
verry nice !
I would be impressed to once see on a North American Volvo meet that most bizarre, quirky contaption to have ever carried the Volvo badge, the 'Dutch' Volvo 66 with its weird 'suspenders' CVT drivetrain. Closer to a Trabant than to any Swedish brick but at the same time out-of-the-box genius. Import one from Holland under the 25-year rule and you will have the rarest Volvo on the planet to show for!
Useless video. You didn't even show anything.
Лайк, подписка.
Thank you!
How many miles on the plugs and how did they look?Thank you
I’m unsure of the mileage on the plugs but they didn’t look too bad just pretty normal wear on them. Has been awhile since I did them though
still waiting on the measurements and video for that s13 rear subframe swap
I’m hoping to get to it soon just haven’t had time the last couple months. Thank you for your patience!
Excellent video. Thanks for the info. I'll sponsor you to do my swap $$😂. Ive got everything except the drive line i just need to hop in and start!
Thank you! Haha. Driveline took me the longest to figure out. Mk3 Supra driveshafts are just taxed and rare now I guess. Good luck on the swap man!
Good job Man ❤
just about to start this process on a datsun 620 over on my channel! and congrats on 100 subs dude!
Thank you man! Good luck on the swap, you plan on doing a video on it?
@@BIGHOUSEGARAGE yeah definitely! Currently engine swapping a 280z, and just picked up the subframe for the 620 to stock planning and mocking things up
@@LooseFab Awesome man, can’t wait to see it!
That, my friend, is a masculine nose. Don't let anyone tell you different. I know, I'm off subject.
Glad to see the mx73 content! Cant wait to get the manual trans swapped into mine :D
Thank you man! The manual trans really brings these cars to life!
Spring -40 ? 😀
you gonna make a part 2 please
Yeah sorry about delay on part 2. I have been focusing on other parts of the car right now to actually getting it out on track. I will make part 2 as soon as I can, thank you for your patience!
VOLVO CLUB OF INDONESIA ( VCOI )
Nice job 👍🏽 am doing a similar swap in my Cressida here in Zambia in Africa soon jst waiting for parts from the US
Thanks man, good luck with the swap!
I was there with my 740GL, fun times!
You know the screwdriver trick to torque it while it's in the air?
Sticking a screwdriver in the vent holes of the rotor? If that is the trick you are talking about I choose to not do that method as with higher torques you can potentially break those veins off. There is a method of taking the center cap out of the wheel and installing the wheel, then lowering the car and torquing it through the center cap hole. Brakes just work the easiest in my situation
Keep the progress as it should bro
nice video!! i´m about to do the same job on my 245.. hope everything goes well. Your video calm the stress jajaja, quite. I think my worry right now are the belts, any tip on that?
For replacing the belts or just getting them off to get to the waterpump?
@@BIGHOUSEGARAGE for replacing 🤔

I was there with my 740, what a great experience!
Longer bellhousing bolts to mount to the transmissions side or to mount to the motor side?
Bellhousing to engine bolts need to be about 3/4-inch longer
Sweet thanks man
