I remember being upset at Rose leaving when I first watched, and I thought it would be easier going through again because I KNEW she would leave - turns out nope, still upset. As a kid, it's all "wow, cool aliens" and "Mummy, could I have a sonic screwdriver for Christmas?" but as an adult, you come to appreciate how tragic The Doctor and Rose's love is for each other. This was a great tribute that perfectly encapsulated that. Bravo!

I do think these shots not added to the final version bring something different to the scene. For one, in the actual episode, the Metacrisis Doctor isn't really treated like a character at the end... merely a passive plot device and a gift to Rose. However, I like how these extra shots show him gathering her up in his arms like that. It gives him a bit more agency and kind of conveys that, yeah, this is something he desperately wants. The Doctor has always wanted to kiss her like that but has never allowed himself to, and these shots show us that payoff. Because the TenTwo loves Rose in the same way the Ten does --- with the one benefit that he's able to show it in a human way.

Their love was/is the perfect love. Platonic love going to romantic love in a normal pace. That's why I love the love story of Dana Scully and Fox Mulder.

Well done. These two had such chemistry. And I have to say I didn't see that with anyone else they worked with on other projects.
