If you want to see REAL control line models, search UA-cam for Control Line Stunt, Controline Combat or Scale. Many plastic models are very anemic. Have a look at what these high performance models can do. It’s not just going in circles.

Wow, posted in 2011 and no comments, well, I was just wondering what the wingspan of that model is, because it looks like your control lines could be maybe three feet longer, I don't know, I was just wondering.

control line is way better than rc any day

Any Cox engine needs to run at least 25% Nitro and be adjusted for near (rich side) of Maximum RPM. They were never designed to run in a 4-2-4 Stunt run. They just don’t have the reserve power to haul this airplane thru the vertical maneuvers. If the higher RPM pulls the plane too fast, then reduce the prop pitch or lengthen the lines. There are 6x2 and 6x2.5 props. Experienced flyers also use braided .008 lines of at least 35 ft. The high performance 1/2a Combat guys are now using 42 ft x.012 line with no problems. Also, reduce your line spacing at the handle to no more than 1.5 inches apart. This makes the plane less sensitive.

Would have been nice if the camera had been aimed more to the right so we could see the maneuvers ... instead of the pilot. 48 ft. lines are kind of odd. Normally, class A-B (engines) are flown on 52.5 ft. lines. Class C (engines) are flown on 60.5 ft lines. Class D (engines) are flown on 70.5 ft. lines. Not sure what size model this was or what engine it as running, but it sounded like it was running 'pressure' (crankcase backfeed pressure, pen bladder, pacifier or the like), as it is difficult to get a glow engine to run in 2 cycle so perfectly throughout the entire flight without pressure. (the way it cut out at the end also was a clue). Ages ago, when I was young, I flew C/L combat and stunt. Lots of good memories. Now I fly electric RC 'quadcopters'.

Nice job. Recognized most of the maneuvers. Loops and 8s were very good. Squares and triangles tough to do without flaps. Didn't see you attempt a 4 leaf clover .. ha ha ... Way way WAY back in the day, I flew C/L combat and stunt. Now I fly electric R/C quadcopters.

Lost art, have many planes and engines yet. The best little engine Cox .049. On Baby Fite Streak, or Combat Kitten.
