Be Your Best Self - How A Positive Attitude Can Change Your Life
In this episode Kerrie talks to Denix Almendares about her journey from a small village in Honduras to the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Denix spent most of her early life caring for her terminally ill mom and later, her father. For Denix, the death of her parents was the beginning of a powerful new chapter in her life. She wondered what was possible, and learned to trust in herself. She dared to dream what was possible. This is a conversation about courage and resiliency, about a mother’s love for her daughter, about obstacles and angels, and the discovery that letting go can lift you up. Denix is an extraordinary heart and a beautiful soul. We are so pleased she is our guest on this episode of Secret Heart Broadcasting.

All the Best People Get Fired with Jen Allford
Переглядів 2928 місяців тому
I was fired on the eve of what my astrologer friends call my Saturn return, the time between the ages of 27 and 28 when the tough love planet Saturn provides a gentle-or sometimes not so gentle-nudge in the “right” direction. (if we find ourselves in the wrong life lane). Yikes! Imagine if losing your job was front page news!
Well done to you both!
I love the fact that your questions got bigger and that factored into your career advancement
What a wonderful interview. I especially loved the discussion about the fact the is a price to pay for playing it safe. It may be comfortable but what opportunities have you missed.
what an insightful discussion of the various systems of the body and how they are connected
Wonderful interview. I learned a lot by listening to your very articulate guest. Thank you.
Beautiful patient and loving interview. This was quite revealing. What a story. Writing a memoir is always going to be a double edged sword, especially for the pain it can cause the family still surviving. But in the end it is part of the healing process. Truth heals even when it’s painful. Ricardo Authenticity Rating is a 10. Highly recommend for those whose have lost and those who have survived lost.
So wonderful to hear the insightful sharing between you both🙏
And meant to add the discussion on guidance systems was so profound as so many of us have had those comforting experiences related to grief.❤️
Hello Trish! Thank you so much for listening! It’s so important to hear the conversation about guidance systems landed and to speak of what we may not understand.
This episode was a tantalizing one, with a unique perspective on a ‘Life’ changing revelation about a lost ‘loved-one’. Thank you!
Thank you for listening! 🩵
So. Much. Yes. 💜
Yes. Yes. Yes. 🩵
Jessica Waite talks about her book the way she wrote it: with honesty, empathy, and transformative wisdom. Great interview!
Kudos Jessica and Kerrie! What a thoughtful, warm interview filled with wisdom and light, and love and encouragement. I especially appreciated these comments and how they’re interrelated: “It feels that the truth in the end has been kind to me” and “At a certain point I realized that the secrets I was trying to hold were too corrosive.” Thank you, Jessica, for your honesty and courage. Here’s to telling the truth to ourselves and others. Here’s to THE WIDOW’S GUIDE TO DEAD BASTARDS. I can’t wait to receive my copy!
Wow! Here’s to whole-hearted listeners like you and to astonishing comments that further great discussion 🩵
I'm not on FB very often and want you to know I'm feeling so-so excited to seeing your book and reading your story when it comes out full BLAST! I can only imagine the mixed emotions swirling for you. You deserve the accolades and kudos that are coming - mine included! Enjoy riding the wave . . .
Couldn’t agree more. Jessica has earned her success 🩵
I'm so looking forward to reading Jessica Waite's new book! Thoroughly enjoyed learning more about her earlier life; great interview questions! Such vulnerability and also healing. An inspiration to writing through to the truth and the truth being kind. And also tapping into intuition and sharing story.
Thank you so much for your insightful comment! May we all learn to trust our intuition.
I'm half way through, it's really good. A page turner!
Jessica’s book is a masterclass in how to tell a hard story in a way that honours all the feels. One of my favourite parts in the book is when she attends the widows conference. Who knew such things existed, and the beyond-the-veil moment she experiences there is pivotal, among many others.
So well said! Thank you for listening, Laura!
Terrific interview! Loved the way Jessica deals with the big emotions in life: love, anger and grief, by digging deep and being open to finding the truth, including metaphysics. I learn so much from your interviews. Thank you Kerrie and Jessica. I look forward to reading her book.
Thank YOU Jacqueline Pyke! Maybe we should start a book club? 👀
@@SecretHeartBroadcasting I’m in!

Thank you Sandra. That is great to hear!
Great podcast; empowering discussion on living life with intentionality and a path that isn't driven by society's expectations. Well done Liz & Kerrie! I appreciated the Book recommendations too -- I've found "What an Owl Knows", "An Immense World", "Alfie & Me" "What the Robin Knows" in the Edmonton Public Library collection. Yay for public libraries!!
Delightful! I find obedience quite hard, too. ❤
