Description
On your vehicle, it may be possible for the engine oil pump drive belt tensioner arm to fracture, separate from the tensioner backing plate, andor the oil pump drive belt material may degrade and lose teeth, resulting in a loss of engine oil pressure.
Safety Risk
A loss of engine oil pressure can result in engine damage andor seizure, which can result in a loss of motive power and a loss of the mechanical vacuum pump required to provide power braking assist, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company is working closely with its suppliers to produce parts for this repair. When parts become available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge parts and labor. Parts are anticipated to be available 2ND quarter 2024.
Tips:
Some videos say you have to take exhaust downpipe off, however we managed to get it off just pulling exhaust down and pushing pan off.
Organize bolts, some components like the oil pump have different length bolts stay organized.
Make sure to clean the new gasket surfaces for the oil pan before applying RTV [Brake clean and a razor blade do well)
To clean oil pump just use a pick and brake clean and get the most out you can. DO NOT take oil pump apart, as I found out the hard way its impossible to put back together. I cleaned the pickup screen and decied to check the inside of the pump for debris. There was none anyways so dont take it apart. Just either clean the screen and send it or order a whole new pump.

My big turbo evo x build that has been in hiding for awhile lol. I've parted this thing out like three times now and rebuilt it. Its now sold and you can see I have a C6 now. Update: Sold the C6 after two or three months. Busy with my business and hopefully buying a C7z in near future. C5 build is still continuing but at slower pace because of lack of time

What's your time estimate for replacement ?

Hi. My engine demaged because of this problem. What should we do. Its too much to pay for a new engine. If buy new engine will Ford give my money back? Because Ford knows the problem. Ford!! ,If you know and cant do anything now you should give a new engine for free... I am going to go to file a lawsuit.
You have to wait for the recall fix to come out. Per there recall website a remedy should be coming any day now

very true, see them at auction all the time with oil pressure light and timing codes. Indication of oil pump failure. Easy fix...if the camshaft isnt split in half lmao

Does the cluster have to be reprogrammed after installed or just plug and play?
Depends, if you are getting a whole new cluster from a junkyard.....with different mileage than your car has then technically yes. It'll have to be programmed to have your cars mileage. There's services on ebay where you send your cluster to them and they change the mileage to the correct mileage. But this isn't necessary if you don't care if it has the wrong mileage. You can plug it in and it'll work just fine. If you are just unplugging it to gain access to something else and are plugging the same cluster back in....you dont have to do anything.

No window switch just a Nitrous express nitrous switch panel with bottle heater, purge, and nitrous buttons. It was manual [5 speed]

That's why you adjust fuel calibration map
Messed with it for 3 hours on all different fuel maps and couldn't get the car figured out. The deatchwerks injectors were acting really weird lean on bottom end extremely rich on top end even tho they were calibrated correctly. We think there was a voltage issue with them since they were idling terrible. Deatchwerks makes shitty products anyways so I got Id 2000cc injectors.
