😂. Sorry for laughing, but the way it sounded starting up, I thought it was a tool for loosening/tightening lug nuts connected to an air compressor
Haha, It does sound similar
Thx for subbing man
I can hear the bad fan bearings, but overall it sounds good
The way an Alco diesel is supposed to sound.
@@chuckeberth4370You got that right.
Reminds me of the early days of Conrail. They moved all their big Centuries to the shops at Mingo Junction Ohio to work heavy coal and iron ore trains on the Cleveland and Pittsburgh line, which passed my house on the other side of the Ohio River.
Sounds like India's WDG3A
So cool!!
Great video, so glad you were there to share with us who could not!!!
Nice!
Nice!
Nice New Subscriber!
Now this is what we call EMD at its best! A classic 645E3 in the greatest diesel ever built in North America. Still enjoying the sound in 2024.

Definitely sounds like the m3 on the DL rs3’s. These are beautiful horns. I will never shut up about how glad I am to own one.
One of the greatest catches I’ve ever ever seen. The new Pittston station is absolutely wonderful.
Nice shots! Nothing better than classic Geeps at Idle.
It's Kinda hard to hear but I can definetly Tell It's the Ol' Gal Screaming GET OUT OF MY WAY ERIE LACKAWANNA COMING THROUGH! Lmfao
Barish main oos fan main se pani nahi jata hoga?
So cute!
Those 567's are the best sounding diesel engines ever made. Close second and thirds are roots blown and turbocharged 645's. Change my mind. 😌
This is so 100% true! Typical rail fans vs foamers. This had to be one of the best videos I’ve ever seen.
Nice!
And there's me and Eli running to catch NRFF, ha.
Does this have a 251 or a 244 powerplant?
16-251F
Pure heaven
I remember this exact storm! That was one crazy night that’s for sure
DL&W for me please!
Why does it have 4 ditch lights 😊
When those engines went to Canada, They were added for extra visibility.
@@Alco244 So just in the USA they only utilize two of them?
Nice catch!
So those units are former BCR 812 and 811 ? ..I can't rememeber. But they're beautiful and sound great. I hope to see them again one day. I grew up in Vancouver BC and remember seeing her bigger sisters and possibly her too but I do want to see them one more time.
Also ex Erie Lackawanna
Canadian at any rate: nose headlight and bell above cab front. Cp numbered their 424’s in the 4200’s but also had a “split” in fuel tank where filler tube was. CN too. BC Rail maybe
Is it ok If i use this footage for a documentary?
Go right ahead
@@Alco244 thanks!
In the 'moving away' half, is the track off to the right the Electric city trolley line?
Yes it is
I was camped out at taylor lmao, nice catch
Now try that at -40 after the units been pulled at track speed for two hours dead tow.
Wouldn't start, they'd have no water in them.
@@pootispiker2866 most crew change points had the ability to refill the units.
@@kanoraguy Fill a freezing engine block with straight water. Yep. That would have happened.
@@pootispiker2866 you’d be surprised what CP did along the northern superior route. Between Winnipeg and Sudbury was the no man’s land they did what they had to do in those days when power was short
@@kanoraguy Were you there?
Scranton is possibly the best place for train watching. Seeing Alco's "honorary steam locomotives " as well as real steam ones, is amazing! If when gets bored with any of this watching, there's always the mall to hang out in.
epic
I always loved switching with the GBW Alco's. They moved almost instantly when you asked for a kick, unlike the EMD's that you could say kick and dig a cigarette out of your coat amd light it before the cut of cars would move.
Excellent camera work! That P5 sounds incredible that’s for sure.
It's 12-17-23 not 12-17-22
Thats my mistake... Fixed
Good job
Im a foamer lol
Cracked me up right away! Wonderful job
I actually plan to do a documentary on 2457 because of it's SP&S, BN and Indiana Hi-Rail heritage!
Nice to see that 1776 again!😊
