Self checkout attendant here: no you don't need to help people some of the time. It's constantly all day every day all the time you have to help people. People who will make the robot doing a thing or their own missteps your fault and complain to you about the dumb machine as if you have control over it or you wrote the code yourself to make it like that. Arins story about the high school crush really resonated with me, i had something VERY similar happen to a genuine fresh relationship (less than six months) and it completely changed how I try, or don't try, to date or hook up or anything. Weird. I didn't think it was trauma. And now I'm genuinely questioning the past like 5 years of my life.

I love it when they play games like this that don't take too much thinking and let them get into really deep conversations. Hearing about Arin's love interest who tragically passed so young reminded me of my own similar story, and Dan devoting the episode to her was really sweet. It ended up being a good reminder that people care about you even when you don't realize it

I love how Dan was worried about Kokichi being dead and Arin was celebrating Kokichi being dead until the reveal he was alive brought them to the exact same emotion: Crippling Disappointment.

4:30 Arin's Cable Guy voice is one of my favorites. It's like Monokuma got old and is talking to random people on the street.

I see in chapter 1 with the lie bullet makes sense because Kaede lied to defend Shuichi, but Shuichi using lie bullets to reveal the truth chapters 2-5 never made sense to me for years now because of functionality. Except chapter 4 which makes sense.

Spoilers ahead, but underwhelming chapter (not the grumps, they were fine). The killer should've been Kaito after that gut punch from Angie. He didn't help at all with the trial (and yes now we know why, but felt like a cop out to have kiyo kill BOTH people. It would've been more interesting if he killed tenko but Kaito killed Angie, because then you would've have a killer who wasted his good plan)

The whole "cool or smart" debate reminds me of the "which pill would you take to get a superpower?" Super strength or super genius? If you're a super genius you can just build a mech suit that gives you super strength and also a bunch of other schemes and plans. But if you're strong/cool then people will just like you and let you have things you want
