Just got my french press, some whole beans, and this sweet grinder! It works extremely well. I love it so far (just used it to fill up the glass jar). Grinding took a few minutes, and was very easy (even a kid could do it). Just worried about how long the ceramic grinder will last. Edit 1: It's also very easy to use, clean, and take apart. Just have to be careful putting the handle nut on as to not strip the nut or the ceramic burr where the nut screws on.

It is easy to replace the motor but what is hard is actually buying a motor. I am in UK and I found one source of motors which was quoting a stupid price and TWO MONTHS delivery. In an experiment I ordered a common Japanese motor from Amazon which was on next day delivery and about 20% of the price. The hope was that I could modify the winder to fit it. In fact the cheap motor had the same shaft design so fitted the watch holder and when I removed the old motor I found that underneath was a separate set of mountings that exactly fitted the replacement. The whole replacement job took less than 10 minutes.

Shitiest bed ever

I replaced the circuit board…it was burnt. Connected everything back the way it should be but no power to motors. Any suggestions?? Thank u!

Yeah, so you get a brand new winder these guys and one motor is already dead. And there’s no way I’m keeping a new winder at $500 and then keeping because a motor isn’t working. Done with these awful winders.

Where to buy?

My wife likes to grind her own beans. I like to roast my own nuts.

There should be sone estimates on the wheel position for each type of grind. The settings in the presentation were almost the ignored.

Why would this be necessary? Aren't the Mabuchi motors the best? Where do I get them from anyway?

No instruction or direction on where to obtain the motor(s)?

I bought one of these in November 2022 from Amazon. The model I got did not have a metal washer because it's a newer model than the one shown in this video. Except for the metal washer detail, this video is a good guide for disassembly, washing, and assembly. To grind enough coffe beans for 1 cup, using coarse grind for brewing in a French Press, takes me under 1 minute.

Thank you. I got an old fashioned percolator. I wanted real coffee. I researched grinders and chose this because of the ceramic to grind. Just got my percolator and I am ready to grind 😁

You don't need to replace it. You can fix that one. I did. Take off the white plastic on tr back of the motor and clean the brushes. Easy, fast and free.

This was very helpful. Bought the replacement on eBay by searching watch winder motor. Just a quick tip on, when this video tells you to use pliers to remove the board, I’d recommend using a thin butter knife at the top of the board and go right to left gently wedging it out. The pliers didn’t work for me.
