Melbourne Municipal Band

This community band was established in 1965 with 16 members in Melbourne, Florida. Today, the band has more than 80 members, with many offshoot groups. The Melbourne band plays free concerts for the citizens of Brevard County nearly every month, and also contributes to the community through parades, patriotic concerts and ceremonial performances.
In a typical year, the band serves 69,000 concert attendees and its members give 27,000 hours of community service in the form of rehearsals and performance time.

It was indeed a joy to attend this special concert honoring a very special Soldier-Musician! SGM (Ret) Bill Gabbard, Army Field Band 1987-2018
Congratulations on a fantastic concert celebrating the 100th Birthday of Colonel Hal Gibson. What an inspiration he has been throughout his career! As a former member of the Army Field Band, I can tell you that his legacy will live on forever!!! Happy Birthday Colonel Gibson!!!
