Wow he looks very handsome here!
Arlene, a formidable interviewer and lovely woman.
Thank you so much.
Arlene is a tremendous interviewer.
Thank you so much.
Arlene is a wonderful interviewer.
Thank you so much.
Was his doctor Max Jacobson? Addiction is a complicted and devastating subject which noone will understand unless they themselves have done that time in the fire.
I do not know the name of his doctor. Sorry.
Beautiful Arlene - she’s even lovelier now - shows us a more relaxed and charming Goulet than you can find most anywhere else. He’s nothing like the hurtful Will Ferrell caricature. My favorite album: the early Two of Us where Bob lightens his stentorian voice and sings standards with true legato. Thanks for this.
He wasn't addicted to Meth, it was something he could not function without. lol ;) Today that has a name - it's called Addiction.
Eddie Fisher is a horrible person
That ♥️ was so 💯 very 🌞 nice 😀 with Richard Simmons 😍 as he was doing 😄 his 😀 interview 👏 and he will always 😄 be our angel 😇 up from heaven 💙 as he will love ❣️ all of us 💙. 💙 😁 😁 😁
Interesting how fast things can change. Shortly after this interview, Fisher and Lyn Davis broke up. A couple of years after the interview, Skinny D'Amato died of a heart attack.
RIP Richard Simmons 😢
What did Elizabeth see in him 😮
This is a great video. Thank your for the archive. Richard was always a great speaker. Definitely a role model for me.
A giant
So, I will ask this like I do so many other videos on the internet and especially this website. When was this program? And why does no one else ask these things? Was it from 1993?
Thanks for uploading this, Arlen! Wonderful interview with a sweet kind person. RIP ❤
I miss Mary so much. Wonderful friend and amazing talent!
Is it 1987?
Arlene Francis 1907 - 2001
I have lived all my life in Puerto Rico, worked about 40 years in the insurance industry and among my tasks one of them was to help in the liquidation of an insurer that went broke in 1986. José Ferrer was a friend of the guy who founded the company in 1977 and the first insurance policy was issued to him, it was a life coverage that also had some savings. Through a power of attorney Ferrer claimed the money he had saved, we issued a check for the amount (around $3,000) and sent it to his Florida home. My regret is that since all the files were eventually destroyed I should have kept the file of his case, which included his signature at the time he bought the coverage. 😕
Are you trying to TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB?
Richard Simmons wasn’t just a fitness guru; he was a beacon of positivity and hope for so many of us. His energy, kindness, and infectious smile made the world a brighter place. He reminded us all to embrace life with joy and to care for our bodies and spirits. His legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone he inspired. Rest in peace, Richard. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. 💔✨
What’s my line is my absolute favorite quiz show. I love Arlene Francis, Dorothy Kilgallen, Fred Allen. Not so much Bennet Cerf and John Daly although Daly was indeed the perfect moderator. These people were amazing, intelligent, funny and classy to an unmatched degree. Without their enormous talent the in itself very simple show would have never made it. Imagine that I learned about these people only a few years ago when they all have been dead for a long time. Dorothy Kilgallen was murdered even 59 years ago, before I was born, and I still admire and appreciate her. Life is strange and terribly short.
The voice, I never would have recognized her. She must have been a heavy smoker.
Rusty Staub, always a class act. He belongs in the HOF!
RIP Maurice Hines. You were an amazing artist.
It is sad that she said Fred the comedian, it didn’t matter that she couldn’t remember his name. Fred Allen!
Oh, Jerry. The voice, the sideways smile, the eyes, the salt and pepper hair, how he arches his eyebrow.... I would have listened to him read from the phone book..😍 Yes, I have a crush.
to us Guccione is remembered as just a porn king who started crotch shots but there was genuine cultured, artistic person underneath who encouraged deep investigative journalism. People are complicated in real life confounding easy stereotypes
another thing was that he was faithful to his wife and was devastated by her death
actually Guccione was quite a cultural person, after all he was a trained artist and Keeton was a trained classical ballet dancer
I love Richard Simmons. He is a zany, funny, kind, empathetic, good man. God only knows how many people he has helped. If only there were more folks like him in the world. ❤️🫂
He looks so sad when Elizabeth Taylor is mentioned.
I Love you Charles Aznavour❤
the selection of his words indicates that he was an educated and a clever person. I am honored to receive an autographed postcard from him at the Palms Inn , and a handkerchief from his father FS Sr. at the Chase Stadium in the Valley. Thanks to the AZ Republic as well for the information about the Sinatra family.
What year was this interview in NYC filmed?
He has been my Childhood heros along side Nick Nolte and Robert Redford❤
great interview !
Susan Bigelow played Barbara Montgomery on the Edge of Night
You think Arlene was driving at something with her questions about Staub's love life?
I just noticed that she shares a close resemblance to Kari Lake the Arizona politician.
UNAPPRECIATED 🖤😎💪🏽👌✅
Amazing interview this is the legendary Gianni Russo
Nancy Gosnell painted three portraits of me an I would love to talk to her … we were friends around 1960 .. how do I reach her???
Hi. I just talked to Nancy. She would love to hear from you. Her land line is 732-747-3447 (preferred) and mobile 732-687-9985. Please confirm you got this message. Arlene Herson
I am a huge fan of Arlene Francis. She hardly seems herself in this interview. She even looks different like she’s had some dental work or dentures. It might be due to the grief of losing her husband or the beginning of her dementia, but sadly she wasn’t the same here.
Love Lainie.. !!
Pearl was a very beautiful and talented lady who is missed.
Reagan...Yuck!!!
Fred Allen was the comedian she was trying to name...❤
She can read minds?
what about the gong show?
