God jul 🎅🏻🎄😀👍 Gripen er fantastiske flymaskiner

Noe litt annet: JAS Gripen og F-35 er på mange måter to kompletterende fly, siden F-35 er en ekstremt kostbar og kraftfull jagerbomber, og Gripen er et mye mer fleksibelt fly som krever mindre bakkestøtte. Sammen er vi dynamitt (Nobel)! Herlig at vi er på lag!

I've since seen other photos and there the F-35s were a bit more like the stump and the two Gripen filling in the tree so to say so I suppose it still was supposed to be a tree just different :)

Maybe before running costs those planes cost about equally much. (But the F-35 can do things the Gripen C can't so ..) Current price F-35 (especially US government price) vs Gripen E is a different story. And running cost is improved.

Two things. 1. The running cost on a F-35 is astronomic compared to Gripen. 2. The F-35 needs a very time consuming time in service. At least one third of your fleet are in service at any given time. Gripen is designed to refuel and reload in about 10 minutes even along a road. Even changing the engine can be done in an hour from the roadside.

@@rcturbinator7855 Sweden and Finland use roads all over the countries for refueling and reloading. Gripen is the only plane in the world that was designed to 100% to make the service of the plane and pilot as smooth as possible. Finland fly the F-18 and it is a great plane, but not as easy to service as Gripen.

@rcturbinator7855 A thousand thanks... I'm making a model with the x 45 and it will weigh about 6.2 kg at takeoff... I thought it was too heavy but now seeing your video and knowing the weight I'm calmer

Maybe because they haven't practiced the formation (or even agreed on it? Or simply decided for this instead when together.)

Here in Sweden it was estimated times and like three minutes earlier in whatever place/city before and I suppose similar amount of time to the next. So likely pretty easy to miss. Should had set alarm and go on check as I've never actually seen it even though it happens every year. I don't know if they pass this city every year or not maybe they like to take a bit different paths so others get more of a chance too.

Denmark didn't even got them of the ground. Ended up being F-16s.

There were more, but the others are in Stealth mode, that's what makes F-35 unique ;-)

@@rcturbinator7855 Quality has a price :) F-35 is a 5th gen, stealth fighter. Gripen is a 4th gen fighter. I love Gripen, but honestly, F-35 is in a different league, with stealth capabilities. :)

@@RCTommy yes! A lot off Gripens! And i can kinda understand 😂 i remember the estiment off cost pr. hour and it was 44000kr for the Gripen and 440000kr for the F-35. I dont know what it is today but i would asume it is still worlds apart

The price you give is the US price per hour, which includes other metrics, with a completely different logistics system. That is, comparing apples to oranges. Norwegian official number is around 1/4 of that a few years ago. Remember, we have one model, one logistics system. The USAF is supporting a whole frickin zoo.. No idea what .no cost is today. The point is, take care when comparing different colored numbers from the internet :) Other than that, beautiful shots!

@@rcturbinator7855 Export cost of F-35 vs US government cost for it are different but prices of the planes should be much more similar now when before. Cost to run F-35 should also have gone down vs before but I don't know what it actually cost to fly the planes. I suppose the upgrade packages for the F-35 cost money but also make it better so .. :) USA can spend a lot of money onto the project and scaling to 2000+ planes ..
