I have a hen that crows when she had bumble foot our eyes proved our ears a tinny crowing alone . ( correction of a typo) Way smaller then our two roosters but fatter then her sister ) she would crow several times a day in the house and lay eggs each morning n her cage or where ever she felt like while not caged in a found hideaway place she’d make nest out of winter sweaters on a stair rooms chair
Oh my, hahaha. I suspect my most dominant hen has started crowing too. I rehome all my clear roosters and today j geared more crowing! Sure enough it's my wyandotte hen who's been laying for the last fre months. Sigh.
I’ve got news for you. That was a rooster, not a hen. Just because it doesn’t have a pronounced comb, doesn’t mean it’s a hen. The tail feathers are a dead giveaway.
Our Buckeye makes an odd noise when she flaps her wings. I’m fairly certain it’s a “crow”, but it’s not a good one. Sounds like when a rooster first starts and has no idea what it’s doing
Omg this answers my question!! I have a hen who I swore was a hen until she crowed one morning for the first time. I was really confused and was worried she was turning into a rooster and I’d have to give her away (my town doesn’t allow roosters) so now I’m super relieved to know females do it too
The chickens are having a start of day meeting to discuss activities for the day.
Yeah That's what a rooster says, not a Hen! |:)
Look at the feathers :)
What Crowing Hens? That's just pretty Silly! 😂
What breed is that?
i love how she is confused even after crowing
It might be an rooster
The buff colored one is a rooster. Look at the tail feathers. And the lighter hen isn't doing a full crow, but she definitely does a good job!😂
Why the barnacles is the hen crowing like a rooster?!!!
I didn't think the hens could crow like the roosters
Tomboy hen
Hens crowing sounds a bit similar to rooster crows, but don’t make the full cockadoodledo like roosters do.
I thought roosters was the only type of chickens that crow but hens also?
Hens can crow, but it doesn’t sound the same as a rooster crow.
I was like “what you on about that’s a rooster” Then I saw/heard the hen crow. 😂

I hope your chookies get out of that pen sometimes!
What😂
My hen is crowing some reason too🤣

The rooster is looking at her like “what the heck?”
What the hen?

Its definitely a hen
It's a hen-
But the white one crowed too lmao
The lighter chicken was a hen.
The golden chicken is a rooster.

I knew I wasn't tripping when I saw a hen crow. It's strange.
I never knew hens could crow. Learn something new everyday!
MIA MCCORMICK That’s pretty neat!

ya me too :)
That's a rooster in the background.
They can be rooster and chic
Why your town doesn't alloe rooster?
@@brandonsmith7960 Some places consider them to be "Noise Pollution". It is a law in some Liberal cities and towns. Weird folks
did u ever get her to stop? im trying to break a crowing hen
Hahahahaha
Have you tried separating her from the flock for a few days? It helps sometimes.
Pretty darn impressive too!
Bad omen
Only in China.
Impossible!
they just have abit more male hormones in em
Yeah they do that
In China it means evil omen..so crowing hen must be killed
And eaten or it will be somehow disposed
Same here in pakistan
That belief is false. It means the hen went through a rare sex reversal change or it just happened to pick up the habit of crowing.
In Poland when a hen crows it means that someone will die soon.
Or you could just study the bird and stop being superstitious.
I've had one hen that crowed.
me too. A Swedish Flower Hen
One of my hens crowed today, so I looked for her peers and here I am
Same thing happened to me today, I had to do a double take.
Same thing happened today. I had to triple check.
Mine has just started when the top chicken died and she’s now on top.
My hen too did this neighbours said its a bad omen so had to kill the hen next day
If that is hens and not pullet rosters then its time to put them in the dumplings when hens start crowing.
I didn't realise this happened when the cockerel was still present! I had a hen who started crowing a while after the cockerel died.
Same has happened to me!! My rooster died a while ago and she has started crowing!!
It’s because their now the dominant chicken in the flock Hens will crow if their the dominant in the flock and there’s no rooster
What is a cockerel
@@somasinha449 it’s just another name for a rooster.
